Good location, but dated

Affordable stay in downtown Cleveland. Location was great and we were able to walk to most of our destinations. Hotel rooms are dated. Appreciated the in house full bottles of shampoo, conditioner, gel, and lotion.Staff was friendly.

First, the staff was fantastic. Everyone was friendly and helpful. But, the property itself was really, really bad. Broken fixtures, peeling paint, electrical outlets hanging out of the wall. Think dust/ dirt along the baseboards. Dark carpets feel gritty. There is an overwhelming feeling of darkness and tiredness and grossness about the property. Even the parking garage was a relic, and one whole floor of it had no lights. I expect a lot from a “by Hilton” property. In every respect but for the great people, this was something Hilton should be ashamed of.

The property is a little older and has some wear and tear in the room, but the staff were extremely friendly and very helpful. It is downtown and not a far walk to all major things including numerous bars, restaurants, and attractions.

This was one of the dirtiest Hiltons I have ever stayed at. They did not do housekeeping for the entire stay, even after requesting it twice. I would not go back there again.

The issue with this hotel is just the quality of the rooms and parking garage. I know a parking garage is not a super clean space but this has spiders and cobwebs hanging down everywhere. The elevator for the parking garage was also out of order. On one of the days the fire alarm apparently went off and so the elevators were being manually operated. They had a solution but it took them most the day to get the alarm turned off. The rooms you could tell, were very nice for the early 2000's. The staff was very kind and apologetic, they did a great job.

The hotel has 3 things going for it - a great location, friendly and helpful staff, and a shuttle that goes in 1 mile radius. The location is nearer the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the water which we liked. On the edge of downtown but nicer and more open area. The shuttle runs to everything we needed downtown - restaurants, museums, theatre district, the flats etc. It is walkable to these venues as well. The staff is amazing and really makes the stay enjoyable. Downtown is a little dirty with lots of people begging for money, so we liked being near the water. The hotel is dated but our rooms were all in good repair and functioning and the beds were comfortable. It is not the most luxurious hotel but it worked for our big family group. Location, Staff, Shuttle!

The toilet ran constantly. The elevator from the garage was broken and the stairwell was filthy. The lobby floor was filthy and there were spider webs and bugs in the light fixtures. The room fridge had mold in the back and there were 2 rock hard cookies left in the microwave.

The good: All the employees we encountered were very friendly and helpful. The hotel offers a shuttle to anywhere within a mile, which was very convenient. Our room was quiet (you could hear some train and ship noises in the night, but that was kind of neat), the bed was comfortable, and the shower pressure was fantastic. The bad: the hotel was very rundown and dirty. Our room windows were caked with outside dirt, one of the front entry rugs had a big hole in it, the parking garage was filthy and its elevator was out of order, and the men’s bathroom in the lobby was disgusting, with poop smeared on the walls and toilet paper in the urinal. The refrigerator in our room (which I always love to have) vibrated the dresser that it was enclosed in so badly that the TV above it shook. We could feel the vibration in the floor and the bed felt like we put a quarter in it. We ended up having to just unplug the fridge so that we could exist in the room peacefully. Also, the TV remote stopped working halfway through our stay, and it didn’t have anywhere you could put batteries in it or anything, so we just had to try to use the one button on the TV to adjust channels.

They don’t normally do cleaning of the bedrooms daily. Bathroom tissue is cheap and rough. Floor carpet needs cleaning or replaced. Mattresses not soft and comfy which hurts my body, also bed pillows are bad.

Bed was comfortable, daily maid service was slow the 1st day and didn’t come at all the 2nd day. Had to get towels from front desk. Bar was good but there should have a discount for hotel guests! Oh and don’t get a double cause it’s double the price of a single, almost $17 for a Captain Morgan and Sprite!! Ridiculous!! We won’t be returning to Cleveland! Except for The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the Westside Market, the town was pretty boring!

The garage elevators were not operating for duration of my stay. The garage area dirty, trash, leaves etc. the staff did not care that the elevators not operating It was just another day for them. Staff at desk not welcome me as a guest. The lobby area floor not clean. The woman in the dining room id hard working she did a wonderful job. However you need to hire more staff.
