Great gem close to Union Station

Soooo close to Union Station and next door to a classic breakfast restaurant that has been around for decades, Lou Mitchell’s (closed Mon & Tue tho). Easy self check in, great quick customer service, comfortable bed and bedding, quiet except for the occasional ambulance. I reserved the Queen studio and the kitchenette was perfect. I’d stay there again on my next trip.

If you enjoy sound privacy, don't stay here

The location can't be beat, and the accommodations were clean, in good condition, and well-maintained. The walls and ceilings are *extremely* thin, and I had very loud and obnoxious upstairs neighbors who did not abide by the hotel's quiet hours. I filed a complaint with Sonder, and they said they'd reach out to the other guests but nothing changed. I should've asked to switch rooms once I knew the other folks weren't going to change their behavior--that's on me. If you value sound privacy, whether your own, or don't care to hear your neighbors primal noises set to Evita blaring in the background, I'd recommend staying somewhere else.

If you are a walker and just want to explore what Chicago has to offer please book this place. You can store your bags before and after checkin/out and the lobby is so nice and quiet.

The hotel location is pretty good, there’s a lot of stuff within walking distance and the area felt safe. The property was a little strange because there’s no front desk staff. The room was mostly nice/clean but I found a live cockroach in the bathroom on my last day there.

Good but a bit noisy

The room is really cute and has all the amenities (including washing machine and dishwasher). Staying for business though I could hear quite a lot of noise from other rooms which made sleeping difficult at night

The entrance was dirty and unkempt. The general hall areas look like council flat landings and there was some really unsavoury and dodgy looking men and woman hanging around in the street. Elevator not working and had to carry all baggage up six flights, not a great start. Would think twice about spending this amount of money on a reconditioned flat.
