I think i was double charged for my stay. It was alredy paid for on expedia, but we had to have a credit card upon arrival. The credit card was charded for the room, on top of having being charged on Expedia.

The owners put money and effort to make this place nice. It's got great beds, fresh paint, fresh furniture, fresh flooring, a nice mural. My issue is the walls are thin and it felt like people were jumping on top of me and i could hear the TV late into the night next to me. There isn't much they can easily do about that except filling every other room and offsetting that upstairs. They had minimal occupancy but put us next together for some reason. If it were full i would understand but the parking lot had 4-6 cars most of the week.

5-star cleanliness at a 2-star price!!

We were in Mount Vernon because my husband needed surgery on his cervical spine so, as you might imagine, cleanliness was our top priority, followed closely by privacy, security and quiet. This place exceeded our expectations on every point. And the staff was also friendly and helpful.

The bed and pillows were very comfortable. The staff and service were wonderful. Our room looked like it was a quick flip. Though it was new/clean, it looked unfinished and the windows were in crooked so we couldn't open them. The outdoor lights are also VERY BRIGHT so with the provided shades there was still a lot of light in the room at night which made it difficult to fall asleep.

Great stay. Friendly check-in. Rooms were updated, clean, with comfortable beds, and everything I needed. The building is old, sure, but inside the rooms you don't feel that way.

My car broke down in the middle of the night over an hour away from home. This was the only hotel with a single room available due to a tulip festival. The room was clean and comfortable. The only thing I didn't like was the lack of inside lock.

The folks working there were absolutely wonderful. I had issues with my room key several times and they were very helpful. I would suggest the smoking bench be moved to under the entry where it would be much safer and drier for guests versus at the very end corner of the parking lot where it is quite dark, isolated and has no cover if it is raining. I would stay again once the pool is open for summer.

Property seems nice, but unfortunately the two main use cases for a motel are a bad experience: 1) Sleeping: Exterior room lights stay on all night, and there are no blackout curtains. Therefore, the room is light all night from the window, and it is difficult to sleep. 2) Showering: The shower has two temperatures, boiling and scalding. However, rooms are nice beyond those two main issues.
