We enjoyed the area with all the variety for food and local culture. We liked that they had a shuttle to the nearest bts but if you have a larger family, it would be quicker at almost the same cost to use Grab or taxi. We picked up a lot of little things from the many 7-elevens in the area. The staff, especially the doormen, were very friendly and helpful. Only issue was that we booked for a family of 5 (with teens) and this property popped up but it really only had beds for 4 people (unless you slept 3 to a king?). It would cost an extra $900 baht/night for a rollaway bed! We just had a person on the couch (which we mistakenly thought during booking may have been a pull out). It may have changed our pick for hotels if we had known the bed situation as there were lots of choice in that price range.

We stayed here as a family of four, and out of the six times we've visited Bangkok, this hotel is honestly one of our favourites. The apartment was spacious, the beds were comfortable, and having a washing machine was an added bonus. The location was ideal, with plenty of street food vendors within walking distance offering a variety of delicious Thai dishes. The pool was a great size, and even though it was incredibly hot outside, we still enjoyed playing tennis. The reception staff went above and beyond, always helpful and friendly. This hotel ticked all the boxes for us, and we will definitely return.

Somerset Park team were excellent and so helpful - always. The room service was also really good - noticeable how clean the room was each day. Gym was well equipped. Pool was very pleasant. The room was a little tired and probably time for some renovation.

Home away from home

We have stayed at this property for the past 15 years, each year at least once. The older staff know us and there is a human touch which makes it wonderful for us. Excellent spa, clean pool, beautiful garden and a fabulous view from the balcony. Nearby restaurants, a 7/11 next door makes it an ideal place. Quiet and peaceful!
