A fabulous hotel, clearly needing renovation and refurbishing, but an icon of a bygone era, reminiscent of Thailand, as in The King and I. The old section with its villas, that we did not stay in, but visited, appear majestic and worthy of a future stay.

I’d consider this a value option hotel, as you pay quite a bit less than you would for hotels right on Sukhumvit. The biggest drawbacks are the distance to Sukhumvit (10-15 minute walk) and the mediocre breakfast buffet. It is in an area with many high rise condo buildings so the area has more of a local/international feel than just all tourists. There is also a nightclub on the first floor of the hotel and another down the street, if that’s your thing.
