Accommodation near Bali National Golf Club

Information on the website stated that shuttle service was available regularly to Bali Collection shopping complex. This is not true, the service is no longer available. Phones in the room, must be 30 years old, tired and unreliable. Setting is lovely but the whole resort looks worn and tired

There were some good points, and some bad. The staff were really great and the room was pleasant... but the shower pressure was terrible. We also had to get our matress changed completely due to an enormous dip in the bed (due to broken springs, I would think). There were hardly any options for vegetarian dining.. though we ended up eating at Hamabe restaurant three times (which was absolutely spectacular). the beach was disappointing. Kind of a very shallow, roped off bay with snot green seaweed floating everywhere ... rather disappointing. But, these are only the bad bits... lots of other stuff was good.

Lovely grounds and pool area. Musty and mouldy smell in room was disappointing.

We loved the surrounding gardens the pool areas and the little coffee shop at Melia, The coffee is as good there as it is in Noosa where we live. Upon arrival we were greeted by welcoming staff. We were told that our package included breakfast but then this was reviewed not to be the case. I did book through LASTMINUTE.COM.AU a branch of Expedia. Their advertisement said that it included all meals but they refused to honour their add and offer. I paid good money for this package and only got a room only deal. I would like you to know and if possible pass our response on to them. Expedia didn't want to resolve the issue at all. When I arrived the desk person said that Breakfast had been included but he too withdrew the offer. I don't blame him at all but I do want Expedia to know that I am going to continue my quest to bring them to account. I would like to thank you all however for our wonderful short stay and we will next year be returning with our family and grandchildren. This time I will be booking through a different travel company. I could have got a room only Garden view room for $130.00 a night but I paid double that for the same room. Thats a ripoff in my view. I have contacted the ombudsman and given them all of my facts. Im waiting for a positive reply now. The Melia is well located and the service is 6 star.
