The Podere Conte Ràcani farm is located 400 m away. above sea level, on the hills overlooking the left bank of the Tiber, 10 km from the Attigliano-Bomarzo toll booth on the A1 motorway.
It retains the name of the ancient owners, the Ràcani Counts, a noble Umbrian family whose coat of arms featured two lizards (ràcani in dialect), still present in the farmhouse logo.
Next to the main farmhouse, three apartments have been created by renovating the stables and granary, respecting the characteristics and materials of the local tradition.
Surrounding it are olive groves, pastures, cultivated fields, holm oak forests, centenary oaks and splendid typical Umbrian landscapes.
Five hectares (twenty acres) of young hazelnut trees, two hectares (eight acres) of Bamboo and young olive trees have been planted to strengthen the farm's production.
There is no shortage of animals: chickens, horses and dogs.
Like every apartment on our farmhouse, IL GRANAIO also has independent access and is spread over an area of 70 m2.
In front of the apartment there is a space with a lawn for exclusive use where you can possibly have a barbecue (wood included in the price) or place deckchairs for a moment of relaxation.
THE GRANARY is located on the first floor and can be reached after climbing a comfortable external staircase of 14 steps which ends on a terrace where there is the access door to the apartment.
On the left of the entrance there are the bedrooms while on the right is the living room with a wood-burning fireplace (included in the price), a fully equipped kitchenette, a dining table with chairs and a sofa, as well as the access staircase to a mezzanine (max height 1.60 m) with two beds and a balustrade overlooking the living room.
The bedrooms are one double and one twin which can eventually become a second double.
The bathroom has a bidet and shower. The apartment is furnished with all the dishes and linens (bed, bathroom and kitchen) necessary for a pleasant stay.
In summer the swimming pool and table tennis represent a pleasant relaxing break to be alternated with visits to some of the most precious cities of art in Umbria, such as Orvieto , Narni, Todi, Spoleto, Spello, Viterbo and Bomarzo all no more than an hour's drive from the farmhouse.
For those who wish to practice horse riding, just 5 km from the farm there is a well-equipped riding school with instructor for children and adults.
We also have some bicycles available to our guests for splendid walks to visit the wonderful Umbrian countryside and the nearest places.
