Pet friendly accommodation in Uptown Historic District

Hotel Mazarin is a NOLA gem inside of the French Quarter. It was resonably priced, even for the Jazz Fest 2nd weekend. The location is perfect for walking to everywhere; one street off of Bourbon and only a few blocks from Jackson Square or Canal Street. There are so many shopping venues, bars and restauarants all within walking distance. The hotel has a lovely inside courtyard where you can relax, meet with friends or pop in to the wine bar for a quick drink. Even though this is an older hotel, the rooms were nicely updated with spacious bathrooms and comfortable beds. It has a work out room that is functional. There is no onsite parking so valet is a must. It was only a few blocks to the buses and cable cars, so no need to have the car out for anything during the stay. This was the perfect hotel for an authentic NOLA weekend, and we would defintiely stay again.

This hotel charged $300 smoking fee for using flat irons and straightening comb. I spoke to the manager and they agreed to refund my card but it would take 7-10 days and it still hasnt been refunded. Also they charge an additional $25 per day tourism fee. The location is really good to be walking distance from attractions. Also my hotel room did not have a fridge nor microwave.

No hot water in our room. After calling and visiting the front desk no resolution. Nobody cared. Apathy.

they had hidden chargers daily fee called a destination fee said it was because i booked online with hotels.com the pool, was dirty green not clean there was commination issues were the front desk lied or hid behind as English was a 2nd language the rooom window was dirty crusted over couldnt see out

Very disappointing stay. The area around the hotel had a very strong trash smell throughout the streets nearby, which made the experience unpleasant. The valet service was especially disappointing. The staff was unfriendly, and when I requested my car, it was left near a trash area instead of the hotel entrance, with little assistance or communication. I had to carry and load luggage on my own, which was frustrating and inconvenient. On top of that, there was confusion regarding the pet fee, which added unnecessary stress to the stay. Unfortunately, this experience did not meet expectations.
