Very nice and helpful staff.
Interesting place to stay as it is the oldest hotel in Sydney.
Room was good size.
Good location.
Pub on ground floor is good.
Front desk is not open during evenings or weekends.
No elevator, so luggage has to be carried up and down 3 flights of stairs.

Liked the brewery & staff. Historical property is dated and in need of maintenance & a lift.

We liked staying there and the bar was fun. Our shower didnt provide anything more than a trickle and my bedside light did its own thing, turning on and-off at will.
Excellent brewery and location . Rm 301 was spotless spacious thanks to Stella. No lift however staff helped tote luggage up stairs and offered luggage storage. Bar food was tasty and a lively place to relax over beers with bottles and tap.
Liked accommodation overall better than Hilton.and The Rocks over Darling Harbor for food and sightseeing.!
The cozy room & spacious en suite were just what I needed. A restaurant & brewery were just downstairs. Very walkable to The Rocks, CBD & Circular Quay. I would stay there again.
Great service and enthusiasm from staff, very helpful. Rooms are big enough, clean, comfortable. Bar has several good house brews and excellent fish and chips (with malt vinegar). Walking distance to SOH, ferries, Metro. One down point - no elevator but that is because, as the oldest working pub in Sydney, it is a protected building.

Room was small. too many flights of stairs to get to your room.
Had a meal in the pub and they asked for you to pay for it first which I found kind of weird.
We had a fabulous 2 night stay at The Lord Nelson. The room was spacious, clean, well appointed for all our needs. We would stay there again when visiting Sydney.
Such a lovely and unique place to stay. I do recommend it but with some caveats: 1) It is a walk up so if you have issues, keep that in mind. They will help with bags, but if you’re leaving on the weekend, you’re on your own (with no instructions on what to do). 2) Plugs are not near the bed - this is a bit of an inconvenience; 3) I left my cell phone (with credit cards in the cab). The cab driver called the hotel and offered to return with the phone right away but the person who answered the phone could not go down to retrieve it so told him to come back later (so I was left without ID, money or anything for hours). How about let me go down to get it? Anyway, it is super cute and unique.
Wonderful, character-filled building, convenient to walk to waterfront and other parts of Sydney. Friendly staff and restaurant as part of pub had wonderful food (we hardly ever eat in hotel dining places but we went here twice as was so good. A great option after a long day of touring) Great beer too! Guests should know that there is no elevator which might be problematic for some.
