The staff at the space capsule are extremely helpful and kind. They made me feel extremely welcome. The main front desk staff were polite, friendly and a pleasure to deal with. I would recommend to anyone looking for a unique experience in the heart of Sydney

More of a homeless shelter than a hostel. The place is filthy from top to bottom. Large lounge area but again tired and dirty. The pods are dated and half of the controls no longer work. They get sweltering hot with only a aeroplane style air valve which makes a noise. Went to check in, nobody there for 20mins. Nobody at check out either (8am in the morning). Cleaner just opened my pod without warning. I’d only recommend staying here for one night in an emergency. The only positive is the location on George Street. I also noticed that many of the 5 star reviews is the reviewers first ever review…

Positive: The capsules are private, quiet and cosy. Bedding was very clean. Negative: They charge $5 for towels, and that day there was a laundry mix up and they didn't have any available. Staff was very nice, but no towels. :/

Not worth it.

Not worth it. Bathrooms are unclean, showers don’t lock. Mattress is about 2cm of foam so you’re practically sleeping on the floor. Hotels.com we’re incredibly helpful with lodging a complaint but the property itself did not entertain the process.

More like a dorm than a hotel, the mattress was not comfortable at all. At times the capsule got hot as the air-conditioning didnt seem to flow through into the rooms properly. Also quite loud as people came in and out and took random phone calls in their pods at all hours of the night. The mens room only had 2 of 3 toilets working and the shower heads need attention. The pod itself is dated and not entirely functioning in all its controls. 10 out of 10 for location, and value for money if you get a cheap rate.

Not even the basics!

I had to use my t-shirt as a towel. Checkin is only open between 10.30am and 6pm and I found during these hours that towels need to be hired from reception. There was no top sheet on the bed, just a dirty blanket, so I had to roll myself in the bottom sheet. The bed didn't have a proper mattress and the pillow was small and hard. I have never seen showers so small and only a small tinted mirror in the bathroom, so the dirt isn't as obvious maybe. Most of the powerpoints were broken. Piles of things everywhere and the whole place had a strange smell. Plus rude staff.
