One Night Getaway

I was very impressed with our room at the Quest. Comfortable, clean and we had a good night's sleep. The shower was powerful and hot; however, the recess is a bit small. We had a lovely balcony that overlooked trees and considering the road out the front it was quiet. The staff were so helpful and friendly and assisted in every way they could. The Quest is not near the railway station, and it took us about 15 minutes to walk there. Shops & pubs in the area are quite pricey but I suppose that comes down to the area. I would highly recommend the Quest as a place to stay.

I use a mobility scooter and had to beg the staff on a daily basis to bring it into the hotel. They made life very unpleasant for me every time I came through the door.

Cleanliness is poor. Bedding has lot of hair left from the previous user. Toilet roll is not replaced everyday. Balcony was not clean with lot of spider webs. Air conditioner in the bed rooms is not working properly. Chair for the office table is broken. Sofa is in bad shape. Corridor carpet is water stained. Overall cleanliness is poor.

Reception staff were completely useless, ordered food 2 times and the delivery driver gave them the room number, both times they told the driver to leave AND take the food, absolutely absurd behaviour. They were completely non apologetic to the point that I made a third order and sat in the lobby for an hour waiting for it to be delivered, watching the two receptionist's that were 'too busy' swear their heads off and converse whilst standing away from their computers, absolutely disgusting behaviour. I have never been so astounded by someones determination to be incompetent
