So, so. It's just somewhere to sleep

Delay booking in due to speed of confirmation details between hotel & Hotels.com. Breakfast was a palaver too....go to the server, go to the desk, back with the server. Not a relaxing meal, felt rushed to eat and get out. Rooms dated eg toilet seat wobbly and grouting dirty. However, hell of a lot cleaner than the Ramada across the way.

Shocking hygiene standards and service

We stayed here to attend a wedding nearby stayed for 4 nights but it was not as advertised. The room when we got there was soo too small with hardly any room To move around, You don’t have any space to open the ironing board to iron your clothes. The whole room had a sheet of dust on it, the tv lamps tables all around the room there was dust which had not been vacuumed for months it seemed like. The phone to call room service was filthy so we didn’t use it incase we caught something and got ill. The bed sheets were dirty. To make things worse they didn’t even change the bed sheets at all over the 4 nights we stayed there and didn’t vacuum the floor and left the mess as it was. We were busy with the wedding and every day when we got back late the room had not been cleaned and bedsheet unchanged dirty and it was too late to request them to change it as we were too tired late nightBut even if we did ask them to change it they only clean the room upto 12.30noon and the cleaners leave.appalling service to be honest. The wardrobe to hang your clothes is shocking, no space to hang anything. The room service for this hotel must mean to only provide toilet paper and change towels. Nothing else. I would never stay here again and I certainly wouldn’t recommend it to anyone either. This must be the most unhygienic hotel I’ve ever stayed in. We were lucky we spent most of our time out of this room. But it was a complete waste of money and we were provided with nothing as advertised.

If your a light sleeper take some ear plugs as the walls aren't sound proof at all. It didn't bother us tho as the room next door were also considerate. First time staying at a holiday inn. I would definitely consider staying again. Lovely staff and services.

An okay place to stay

A convenient hotel to stay at when travelling on the M1 but don't expect too much from the hotel. My bedroom was well maintained but the bathroom showed real signs of wear around the bath edge. The room itself was also very small, with some squeezing and twisting to fit yourself in and out of the shower.
