Property was great. Loved the resort and people were friendly. Room wasn't as expected as booked 2 bedroom penthouse suite and received 2 seperate rooms instead. 1, 1 bedroom suite, and another unconnected room with 2 queen beds. If had young children, wouldn't be ok. Our suite had a lot of issues. Jacuzzi on roof leaked, didn't stay full and Jerry's didn't work. Reported and maintenance came 3 times but didn't fix. Later in stay air conditioner started leaking in our room so water dropping from ceiling. Reported but fix was only to shut off ac unit which still leaked. Staff was very friendly everywhere except for one front desk employee named Alma who was very rude. Loved the Thai restaurant and the beach and the atmosphere of the resort. Had a lot of fun other than the water in the room. Overall a great stay, but maintenance needed in our room.

Exceeded expectations

This was our first trip to Mexico and our first time staying in an all-inclusive resort. From the moment we arrived we were greeted with phenomenal service; bags were checked, drinks offered, and escorted to our Ambassador. The staff were amazing and made the stay worth it! The two-bedroom suite was huge and much more than we needed for four people - but we are glad that our teenagers were able to have their own space. The only complaint I have were the wait times at restaurants, but that was resolved quickly by either going at 5:30pm or after 8:30pm.

We enjoyed our six-night stay at The Fives Beach & Residences. We stayed in a two-bedroom suite as we are a family of six. We appreciated that the suite had balconies. We liked the location of our suite (villa nine) -- next time I think I'd ask for a ground level suite facing a pool and I might ask for one of the newer buildings as the original villas are a bit dated now. We really enjoyed the pools at the resort and also our time on the beach. It's fun to walk along the sand and check out the beachfront of other hotels -- I like that the beach is very open. The hotel restaurants are mostly good, with, very importantly, attention to food safety -- nobody in our party got sick (and you do hear a lot of food sickness stories from Mexico lately). We did a snorkel express excursion to the nearby reef and were treated so well by the guides. I would recommend this resort to families with a range of ages -- it was good for our children and teens. Pluses: lots of pool/beach towels available, friendly staff, beautiful pools.

Property shows clear signs of lack of maintenance throughout the property. My room had damaged shower controls, cracked/chipped tiles. The ice cream store has, what looks like, mold growing on one of the walls where water is intruding when it rains.

DONT STAY HERE!!!

This was the worst trip I’ve ever been on in my life. It was a girls trip with my sisters and we were robbed and then harassed! I waiting until I was back home to write this review because Paula told me if I left a review I would be arrested in Mexico!! Honestly Paula does not need to be working there because she does not make that place any better. I wouldn’t allow my dog to stay there!!! PLEASE STAY FAR AWAY! They stole my sister items out of the room and then returned them once we went out that night!

No hot water in rooms. Very limited dining. My whole family got sick. Nobody cared when u mentioned concerns. Room keys stopped working several times during stay. We ate the same thing for 3 days due to no other food options but room service. Long walk to the beach. Had to pay for seating at beach.
