I have come to realize, reviews can be helpful in choosing a resort, however everyone has so many differing opinions and what's important to one person may not be for another, so my review of this property is based on what I found important for my family: cleanliness, accomodations, safety, food, and to truly enjoy the vacation without worry. This reality is small, however that wa what I wanted, we didn't want a resort that took five days to explore just to find a restaurant or a pool. This property was perfect for our family and even after 6 days we still found new hidden gems. This property is clean, we've stayed in properties that are not so this was a big plus for us. Other reviews stated the rooms with two double beds weren't big enough for a family. Well we traveled with our two teenagers (17,16) and the staff made sure we had a king bed with two roll aways for each kid, which was super accommodating since I have a son and daughter. The proximity to the shopping center was great, and the security on the property put our minds at ease, even though this wasn't a huge concern, I'm just an overly anxious traveler. The buffet food wasn't our favorite, overcooked meat and items were cold, si order food from the flat top grill, it was fresh and hot. The breakfast buffet was our favorite, the sweet/coffee shop in the lobby was also hands down our favorite, great coffee, crepes, and even lunch sandwiches. #2 pool snack bar for quesadillas and nachos, room service was also great.

Everything about our 5 night stay was perfect. The resort is super clean, every employee was outstanding, from the check in to the wait staff, recreation staff, housekeeping, and bar tenders.

I spoke with them about the free room upgrade they would not apply. Also argued I had only $120. Not $250. Only things they offered were what anyone could get. Late check out, promotional material in merchandise with their logo on it, etc.

Property is a bit dated but is due for renovation this September we’re told. Very clean. Staff are ALL incredible. Helpful, kind and very friendly. Pool is a fun low key vibe, bars are well stocked. Special restaurants are all very good. Our favorites were the Momo hibachi and Trattoria Italian. Honestly the evening buffet could have more options, but that truly was our only complaint. Breakfast in buffet was always very good and the snack shack by the upper pool bar had great options.

The people are so nice there. It does help to know a little Spanish though. Of course tipping helps. While they will change your American dollars to pesos there at the hotel, I highly recommend bring them with you if at all possible for shopping and what not. Much easier. Get up around 7am to put your towels down at the pool and go back to bed if you want. Food is to die for! Great activities around. Shopping is within walking distance and so is the ferry. I highly recommend this resort.

I really liked the quality of the food and food options it really stood out to me vs. other all inclusive hotels I’ve stayed at. The only downside was I was told I had a VIP room but had no balcony and our room had a ton of fruit flies maybe from previous people spilling food or drinks in the room perhaps?

Our stay was lovely. The activities are wonderful with staff that really provides fun….yoga, pool volleyball were great. Daniel the head of Wellness is superb, professional and super fun. The buffet was great offering food that is fresh (fresh grilled fish) and many options. The restaurants are lovely as well. The spa is definitely a 5 star experience and stunning. The hotel is the closest right next door to the town center and super cute outside mall and boutique shops. If you are looking for expansive beach this is not your place as there’s little beach area in front - however amazing to sit at the pool overlooking the sea - and the beach water is easy to access and lovely.

Yes, this is an older property located just steps from downtown. Not a brand new, giant hotel. Smaller, more quaint and you get to know the staff quickly because of this. The rooms are nice. Very clean. Staff is the seller, they are wonderful and SO nice. I thought the food and presentation was great. They were working on misc. deferred maintenance/wear and tear (especially the exterior) while we were there. Painting, stucco, etc. Sadly the beach has pretty much washed away right in front of the hotel. This is not there fault and is happening in many places. You are just steps from downtown shops, so I liked that.

great hotel but it's a timeshare!

It was a beautiful place, very clean, good food, great service however it is a timeshare. The resort $$ they give you to spend costs you money regardless of what you spend it on. The spa services are ridiculously expensive and you can only spend some of it on those. The store you can spend it at only has knockoff things you can spend it on. A beach bag trying to resemble Armani and they said it was $200 and it cost me $32 of the "fee". Hotels.com needs to not provide $$ resort.

Rooms were old and outdated . Pool concierge staff were the worst and were not nice Unless you were Diamond status or offered them money . I've visited this resort multiple times and they have gone downhill . Save your hard earned money and book another resort brand .

My review on this resort would be very long. But to sum up, I would not recommend this resort. The people are awesome. But the timeshare atmosphere is thick. And aggressive. Vacations are to be a way to relieve stress. Also, the seat around the pool issue is not small. Due to the timeshare, all of the good pool chars are taken. And will be held all day, even if no one uses them. So, the rest of the folks who are not "diamond" timeshare members, it's a hassle every day. Halfway through our trip they started to enforce the not holding of chairs. You had to be there to maintain the chair. And, as we left, there was another uninvited timeshare/offer. If the place was amazing, maybe I could overlook the timeshare pitches. But it wasn't. As for the food, it was good. Just good across the board. Other than desserts, that were way better than other resorts. Rooms were clean and nice size. Again, all of the staff were great. Just an awkward building.
