The room was spotless, and the staff was very competent and helpful. The location in Midtown was perfect to get to any of the areas I wanted to visit. Both rooms were excellent. I changed rooms on the last night due to the Expedia site error regarding the category and availability of the Superior Double room I originally requested. As soon as the room I booked on the Expedia site was actually available they were able to accommodate me. Would have liked to have had that room the entire visit, oh well. The rooms themselves super clean, the mattresses, bedding pristine. The bath and fixtures modern, impeccable. Additionally, the staff excellent, the free breakfast generous and nutritious, sustaining for the better part of the day hiking Manhattan. No shortcomings, nothing to apologize for, the Carnegie Hotel was perfect, I could not have been more pleased.
