My stay at Baha Mar was overall wonderful. The property itself is absolutely beautiful — very clean, modern, and visually stunning. Our ocean-view room was spectacular and one of the highlights of our trip. The pools, beach, and overall atmosphere all felt high-end and relaxing.
The only downside was the inconsistency in staff knowledge. Several times we asked for directions around the resort and many employees didn’t seem familiar with where things were located, which was surprising for a property of this size and caliber.
Another issue happened at The Swimming Pig. The bill already included a gratuity (which is fine), but our server told us the gratuity “goes to Baha Mar, not to the staff” in an attempt to get us to tip again. We later confirmed this wasn’t true, so that part felt misleading.
Overall, we still had a great experience and would return, but I hope management addresses staff training and transparency with tipping going forward — it would make an already beautiful resort even better.
