We have stayed at the Riu in Cabo and it was an amazing stay, but unfortunately our stay at the Bahamas wasn't as pleasant. There was no ATM machine on sight which made it very inconvenient. We had to go to another resort just to get cash to tip our servers. The mini fridge is not restocked daily unless you ask someone to do it, which we did on one day and they failed to do so. You cannot get any kind of soda with room service, only water. Our AC vent in our room dripped water the entire time we were there, so we had to put towels down daily to soak up the water on the floor. The buffet has bizarre times to eat certain meals during the day. The building itself is very outdated and needs some serious work. The staff was very pleasant however, we will not be staying at this resort again.

I really liked this hotel, the beach is beautiful, it has many amenities, the only thing I didn't like are the specialized restaurants, they are not worth it, it takes too long to eat

The property itself need some love and care, but the staff is nice, the food buffet was great, lots of varieties, the specialty dinners were a bit disappointing, so I suggest sticking to the main buffet. The pools are great but the beach is fenomenal. The most perfect beach I have ever been to. The water temperature was perfect, the staff provided chairs and umbrellas, no coral, no fish, just white sand and blue water. Not a lot of beach vendors and we even participated in some of the hotel activities.

Overall we really enjoyed our stay. Staff was mostly friendly and attentive the restaurants were great besides the steak house. Wish there was a larger beer selection and resort could use and upgrade.

My husband and I have stayed at Riu in other countries and never had any issues! This Riu was not the case! Check in went well, our room was not ready, the staff labeled our four bags and told us they’d put them in storage and email me when our room was ready. We had lunch and explored the property, it is small and the first thing we noticed was the staff at the buffet were not friendly at all, which surprised us as at other Riu properties the staff were amazing! Once our room was ready we asked about our bags in storage, and discovered our bags were never put in storage and remained sitting in the lobby with two other guests bags. I was very unhappy, but I kept to myself and figured it will be ok! We got to our room, we booked an ocean view room with a king bed! We will start with the view, we were on the second floor, our balcony overlooked a rooftop, and had scaffolding and construction debris everywhere! We could hardly see the ocean and again had scaffolding and all sorts of debris in our immediate view! The door appeared to have been broken into before as well, and didn’t look led properly, we would have to shut it just right for it to secure! The room was clean, but not as clean as I feel it should be! I went to front desk and explained all My problems, I was told I did have a partial ocean view and I could pay to upgrade I said no! I explained again about my issues, and was told they have no rooms they were sold out , but I’d be put on a rota

Loved that it was all inclusive and the staff were all accommodating and friendly. I would recommend this property. The only thing I would mention (why I gave 4 stars) is the room could have been more updated or cleaner. It was still fine though we had a blast!

The pool area was extremely loud with the hotel allowing staff to play rap, hip-hop, and club music from 10am-6pm! The staff tried to get people around the pool area to play what they called “pool games!” When people weren’t interested, they called us “boring!“ Hello- the majority of us were there on vacation and just wanted to relax!

The beach is beautiful! Staff at the pool just roam and don’t ask you for drink orders unless u call them over. No staff taking orders on the beach. Umbrellas on the beach can be used only if not windy out because they don’t dig them into the sand enough and/or the umbrellas need to be renewed. Some evening Entertainment is great but at times, TOO loud. I was surprised to see younger kids, high school on this property. I don’t think they were even 18 yrs old. FYI - There is no ATM on the property. I wont be staying at this property again.

The overall experience was fine. We had our share of issues. Our room smelled very musty. The AC was not keeping up. But was later serviced and it helped a lot. The mini fridge was unplugged and leaking. The bathroom we had was small. We had a double sink and the one furthest from the door, you had to squeeze yourself between the counter and the toilet. The bathroom was small to say the least. The staff was friendly but most of the wait staff was just going through the motions. The food was good. The drinks were made pretty well. They were pretty responsive when you made a request. The app could use some work. Most of the staff there were friendly and tried to help you out. Wife and I got. Massage. She liked hers and I didn’t . Overall we enjoyed our time there. Would we go back… probably not.
