The staff should be trained to be polite with the guests. The "policy" of not allowing a child to go and see her mother at the chair pool it's terrible! -we were there consuming food and drinks and yelling at us and treating us to call security are terrible manners.

Staff and workers were so kind and the resort was beautiful. Food was extremely expensive at restaurants and very hard to get into without reservations but we always found something to eat. Really enjoyed Café, Madelyn and Poké bowl. The pools were amazing. The water was great. The weather was perfect. Would definitely go again.

Just returned from a 7-day stay at Baha Mar. The property is absolutely stunning and the beach is beautiful, but service and operations were a major letdown. Housekeeping never once made the bed properly, fridge didn’t work, room lights randomly turned on at 7 in the morning, and room service was painfully slow—a pizza took 2.5 hours to arrive. Trash and Empty cups/plates around the pool and beach (including dirty diapers) sat out all day while staff walked past it. When I asked someone about cleanup, they said “not my job.” Prices are outrageous: $10 for a slice of pizza, $12 beer, $35 cocktail, $45 breakfast buffet, $40 sushi roll, $100 steak, $35 for chicken tenders and fries. Two Piña Coladas and a virgin daiquiri? $97. Then add a mandatory 15% gratuity and 10% VAT. It feels like they’re testing how much they can charge and staff laughed when I commented how expensive it was. Beds are hard, cots aren’t allowed in king rooms, and sleep was hard to come by on the queen beds. The casino dominates the resort—feels like Vegas, but more expensive and less fun. Some restaurant staff were kind and handled a food allergy well, and the waterpark is a real highlight (it’s great!). But overall, staff seemed disengaged, and asking for basic service was hit or miss. We’re a low-maintenance family that visits the Bahamas 4–5 times a year. I brought 14 people on this trip for a work event, and we’ll go elsewhere next time.
