We love coming to the Bahamas and being immersed with the people and the culture. We stayed at the Grand Hyatt Baha Mar because this was an extended family trip and this is the hotel the majority landed on. The staff is obviously very courteous and helpful, the highlight of this place! The room was ok. The shower had mold in the grout, the detachable hose was corroded and leaky. Not a 4-star look, but not a deal breaker either. The minifridge was empty (our cousin's room didn't even have the fridge, so I guess we were lucky?). The room next door to ours was under maintenance, someone decided to drill in the middle of the night. It woke us up and scared the living hell out of us. The resort grounds are gigantic, but it's not an all inclusive resort. Many of the spaces and activities are only accessible if reserved and paid for, even pools. Of the 6 pools, 3 of them are for the cabanas guests only (and the cabanas happen to cost hundreds of dollars a day). Something that is not included in the cost of the room is the service fee and the resort fee. You'll be informed of them at your check-in. While there, the resort was taken over by a MetLife conference, so every day/night they reserved spaces on the grounds, the pools and in the building for private events that we would not have access to. One night we got kicked out of the jazz club to make room for a corporate private event... I was so sick of this place and MetLife lol

Pool areas were fantastic but the majority of the employees were extremely rude. The only employees that were friendly were the staff at the Drift pool or in a few of the restaurants. Concierge was terrible. I’m not sure he understands he’s job is a service job!!!

Fantastic stay!!! The grounds were absolutely beautiful with plenty of pool options and a nice sandy beach with clear emerald water. Good variety of dining - although pricey, we found it to be very high-quality cuisine, especially at Cleo and Katsuya. It was great that admission to the waterpark was included (we loved the lazy river). We were impressed by the eco-friendly measures in place at the resort, for example, the reusable water bottles. Extra special thanks to Ryan O'Hara who went above and beyond to ensure we had a most memorable stay! Thanks also to Don for looking after our luggage upon our departure. Some areas for improvement: 1. it would be nice to have an adults-only pool without an extra charge; 2. we experienced a number of unpleasant attitude issues with some female staff, including at the front desk, towel stands, and gift shop. Overall, we would highly recommend the Grand Hyatt Baha Mar - it was fabulous!

Amazing stay as always with Baha Mar

Amazing stay! Second time with Baha Mar, first time with Hyatt Baha Mar. No single flaw. Great accommodation, restaurants, waterpark is top notch not to mention it's included with the stay! The choices for bars and restaurants are countless!
