For a 5 star Hotel the room we were given is not up to standard with Minibar fridge faulty and had to be changed, TV volume was way too loud or off only and remote control had to be changed. TV rather old and could do with update. Soap dispenser for bathtub was completely empty and sink not draining properly. However, Hotel lobby was spacious, staff are friendly and helpful. Cafe 1228 buffet was good with a variety of international choices. Location wise hotel is across Greenbelt with about 400m walk to SM shopping complex. Given a better room we would have enjoyed our stay.

I've stayed at the New World too many times to count. I always enjoy my visit, the service is outstanding! The location is awesome: steps from Greenbelt and minutes away from Landmark, Glorietta and SM. There's an abundance of restaurants and shops which run the gamut from high-end to affordable. The New World is 30+ years old and in need of an upgrade. I understand there are plans to do so, which is great. The staff and management do the best they can with what they got! I look forward to returning, especially once improvements are made, primarily to the rooms and other facilities. I don't want to discourage anyone from staying here, because the service is outstanding! Check it out for yourself...however this time I give the hotel 4/5! Thank you for an enjoyable stay...A special "shout out" to Babylyn and her staff at the Residence Club: Alexis, Ella, Wilson, Nicole, Jim, David and Kate! And my room attendants Ray and Janet! The dining staff were very nice but the hotel is very old and worn out. We spent 3 days there and the bathroom was dirty, beds were so hard and everything was worn out or broken and chipped.
