The first bad experience I've ever had attending a hotel in the entire 10 years. Usually, I book a hotel for attending a concert and after arriving I just wanted to relax. Bare in mind, this was booked months in advance and was an exciting day as we were arriving to see the Deftones concert. After arriving, the very rude staff member with the long hair and an accent asked me for ID, I showed him my NEC Card (which is a disability card for anxiety) and he outright declined it telling me he requires a passport, something I don't own as I'm scared of flying, so don't need one.. the then told me to show him a drivers license, I don't carry one as I don't drive so said I can show him a photo.. which he again declined. After telling me to sit down and phoning the manager, he told me the manager declined us as we can't prove our ages (I'm in my 30s..) and he wanted a young scot card (commonly for people 21 or under).. I felt interrogated and increasingly anxious and he essentially just wanted us to leave. This staff members tone was dismissive and patronizing, I didn't know what to do. I booked this months in advance with my same bank card I had on me. It was now 30 minutes until we leave for the concert and we were asked to leave being stranded in Glasgow with no where else to book last minute carrying heavy luggage we can't exactly bring to a concert (which would have been a 30 minutes walk too) and the entire night was ruined after months of looking forward to this

Really need to have USB charging points in a modern hotel. Generally a lack of amenities in room, such as a glass for water, no tea or coffee. Need to get the 2nd lift fixed, sounds like it's been broken for some time.

Staff was lovely room was fine, bed was superb, the TV signal wasn't the best and we couldnt connect to phones, breakfast was great but could be doing with a wider variety of breakfast cereals, could also be doing with refreshments in rooms if not then at least a complimentary hot drink

Room spotless. Breakfast great. We love the thoughtful touches that this hotel has. The lounge is a wonderful place to relax - I've not seen another hotel with such a large and comfortable lounge - it's like a real living room, and rarely busy so you're almost guaranteed to be able to spread out with a coffee and the papers!
