Air New Zealand has a ton of destinations, so whether you’re a months-ahead planner or a roll-the-dice adventurer, you’ll get to see the world. In particular, Air New Zealand flies to destinations around New Zealand, Canada, the United States, South America and the Pacific Islands.
As a bonus, this airline has won so many awards, it’s running out of space for trophies. They’ve got titles like Australasia’s Leading Airline, Airline of the Year and Top Airline in the World, so you’ll feel like quite the champion flying with them.
Luxury flights—for peasant prices
Unlike other airlines who-will-not-be-named, Air New Zealand premium economy class is top-notch. On long-haul flights, you can expect free meals, seat selection and in-flight entertainment. If you brought the kiddos with you, check out the Air New Zealand Economy Skycouch. This entire row of seats transforms into a couch.
Want to step it up? Air New Zealand business class is no joke. With Champagne, plush seats that fold out into beds and all the food and entertainment you could hope for, this is the “treat yourself” section you deserve.
Extra perks on Air New Zealand flights
Air New Zealand frequent flyers are rewarded big time. At the silver level, you can expect lounge access, discounted business class fares and upgrades. At the gold level, you can enjoy perks like extra baggage allowances and priority check-in. And at the elite level, you can enjoy upgrades like complimentary valet parking and rental car vouchers.
Ready to fly? Air New Zealand check-in is almost always accessible online. It opens 24 hours before your flight leaves and closes 30 minutes to 120 minutes prior to take-off, depending on your destination. You can use the Air New Zealand website or the Air NZ mobile app.
Lovely staff and not too long to wait
Gisborne airport had just opened that day, really friendly vibe. Will definitely fly out of there again
Bags took awhile.
Really enjoyed the flight thankyou
So much better experience than Qantas. I travelled on Qantas which I thought would be an Emirates aircraft. But our aircraft turned out to be a Qantas service. We were delayed four hours. The 737 800 is not as comfortable as the B777. Our flight to Wellington was so late that we were diverted to Auckland. During those four hours stuck on the aircraft in Sydney, we received no food, one glass of water and a toffee. The crew was upset, the arrangements on the ground in Auckland were pitiful. I did get a letter from Qantas apologising for these unforeseen circumstances. I forfeited the full deposit I paid for the hotel in Wellington which I hope to retrieve with Insurane I took out with Webjet.
Happy we got to fly out if Sydney as flights were being cancelled due to bad weather. Thank you Air New Zealand
Great flight team and helpful service
I would like to say thank you
NOT happy there was no meal which i didnt know when booking that i needed to do separately. Different to Qantas.
