Find Westside hotels

Just to be clear, this review is for the Margaritaville Beach Hotel in Jacksonville Beach, Florida. ____ My wife and I were only there for one night, but glad we picked this place. The room was clean and the "partial ocean view" was still a great overall view-plenty of ocean to see. Hotels.com description of place was correct. Black out curtains were actually blackout. I slept very well. Restaurants near-by. Walk to the beach took less than a minute. Elevators moved quickly, but be aware, those doors close fast! Only real negative is the parking. Few free spaces available and valet was a bit expensive. Not worth it for us, but for someone reading this review, just be ready to pay $20-30 USD plus tip, if you go with valet parking. Fortunately, we were there in the off season (or so I was told), so I was able to find a parking spot relatively close. Overall, I recommend the place. Would stay again if ever back in Jacksonville Beach FL. *From my wife: Recommend watching the sunrise on the pier. But bring a jacket. It's chilly in the morning. From me: You're considered "a local" ( $1 per person/day) at the pier if you're staying at the Margaritaville hotel. I can't speak to the other hotels, but likely it's the same. Fishing is also available. And yes, she did love the sunrise.

Clean room and parking

The staff was so friendly and upbeat. Everything was super clean. Breakfast always fresh and delicious. Such a beautiful experience!

The staff was excellent. The carpets were dirty. There was a pile of old mattresses in the backyard, and it was very dirty looking there was floors were all dirty. The carpets were all dirty.

We did mealie that kitchen supplies like cups and electric products (hairdryer) had to be obtained at the front desk. We couldn’t get our room to warm up. It really was worth booking The desk clerk. Angel was amazing. We had just lost our son and every time I entered the lobby he would address me by name ask what I needed. He said he would be there the entire evening and let him know and he would take care of it. Everyone should have employees like him!!!!

Breakfast was below par and no microwave in the room…while traveling away from home a microwave is important to warm up food or coffee…front desk staff was great and room was clean…and pool was great … I gave an average grade because of no microwave…housekeeping was pleasant … I really was disappointed with the below par breakfast.
