The Hampton Inn Jacksonville Beach/Oceanfront room was clean but is in need of some updating. Some of the staff was courteous while others were inattentive. The free breakfast, free parking, beach access and tiki bar were ideal. The little bonus was the 24/7 free coffee, tea and hot chocolate bar; an unexpected, pleasant touch! Overall, I’d rate the experience a bit above average.

The room was nasty. Had bed bugs. 2nd room had dead bugs on the wall. Shower was not clean and the balcony chairs had some liquid stain on it. Disappointed to say the least. We had to stay because we just drove 20 hours from NH and didn’t want to pack back up and find somewhere else.

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay. This place is a keeper for staycations. We stayed since it was close to Mayo Clinic for my early morning biopsy. Steve, the front mgr. was able to accommodate us and surprised us with a beautiful partial ocean view and pool view. Check in is usually 3 p.m. but we arrived sooner due to early morning pre-admissions work. We were able to check in early thanks to Steve. We absolutely loved the pool and especially the hot tub. Easy access to the beach with an outdoor shower to rinse off was also appreciated. The room & King bed was spacious and very comfortable. Aside from the pool's music, it was quiet. We had a balcony on 6th floor. Complimentary breakfast was delicious with a nice selection. The staff are very friendly and greet you. Price of stay was fair and learned i can get better deals if I am staying because of my Mayo Clinic visits. Thank you Steve for alerting me to this information. Very helpful. .
