The location of this hotel is excellent, but unfortunately the property is very outdated. The lifts are unreliable, and the rooms and bathrooms are in need of refurbishment. Our TV wasn’t working during our stay, and there was no maintenance staff available on the weekend to fix it. For a hotel of this standard, having maintenance support available at all times should be expected.

Super friendly staff! Although dated bathrooms and couldn’t get TV to work, the historical building, location to the Sydney Harbour Bridge, and being in the heart of The Rocks made up for it.

Great location! We disembarked the cruise ship and walked about 5 min to drop our bags and enjoy a final day of seeing the sights in Sydney. Nestled in “The Rocks” there were lots of sights, restaurants, pubs, shops near by. Had great view of the Saturday night fireworks too! Breakfast was included but didn’t start until 7 am so we had to miss. Nice Happy Hour with some food options which was a blessing since we were exhausted. No ice bucket or mention of ice but that may be a USA thing. One elevator of the two was out of order but we rolled with it and just waited our turn. I would stay here again!

Location is incredible. Facility is old, dated and grubby. The room smelt musty and due to its heritage status you couldn’t open a window. The bathrooms are miniscule and mouldy. For the price you are better of booking a pub room. The location was the only selling point for this hotel.

Clean, confortable spacious room but appearance of whole hotel a bit tired. Breakfast resturant/ bar not always open. I had read reviews about noise but once garbage collection was done at 10pm, it was quiet. Excellent location

Clean room with comfy bed although it lacked a bit of visual appeal as did the hotel generally. I had read reviews complaining about noise but once the dustmen left at 10pm it was very quiet. Great hotel and area around. Love the location. A couple of things that needed improvement: Difficult to do laundry. They only take Australian coins so its not handy. The restaurant has unusual hours so its not convenient to eat at it. The room has a hot water pot to heat to make coffee. However there is no nearby outlet to plug it in so you either need to put the water pot on the floor or carry it to the workdesk or bathroom. Otherwise all was good. I would stay here again
