The property was 6 month post hurricane and was amazingly clean and clearly had been refreshed. The location is great and the property had attractive facilities. Our room was clean but was lacking in comfort. The room was very large and open. The only place to sit was on the bed or a desk chair in the room. It did have a patio set on the porch but the weather was not great when we were there. In our opinion, the renovation was minimal and the room still had several old features that need replacing especially in the bathroom, which also smelled like sewage. The price was too high for the accommodations and we will not plan to go back.

Do NOT go by a single photo you see online!! The hotel is old and in bad shape. Beds were rock hard. Bathroom was tiny. For $300 a night and looking at photos, I thought we would be ok. Walls are layer thin. I heard loud snoring the first three nights (as if it were my husband snoring). We could hear every word the two men staying next to us said. Every time we would flush our toilet or people on either side of us would flush their toilet, the tub would rumble. Imagine that at night!! Although their website says their post hurricane renovations are complete, that is a lie. We had a super rainy day so we wanted to sleep in ..impossible with construction workers dropping wood and yelling at each other. Thankful for location and a super friendly staff member named Austin. And that’s it. Highly disappointed to spend so much money and have such an unhappy stay.

I LOVE this place! Literally on the water. Out the front door, great people watching. Out the back door, watch the wading birds when the tide recedes with views of the Dunedin Causeway. Steps from a great bar and world class restaurant! A sunsets and that good included breakfast room with percolator coffee!

The location and newly remolded rooms and area were very nice. Breakfast ok. I was bit disappointed that there was no shop to get sundries or drinks -apparently will be done in the future. Also, despite being told cleaning service was daily they never did our room over the three days we were there. I think the trick is to be out of your room early.

Staff was friendly and accommodating. Room was freshly renovated since the hurricane and was very clean. Unfortunately there was some sort of electric issue which resulted in our room having the power turn on and off in the early hours of the AM waking my daughter and I up. Manager was apologetic, called in the maintenance person early and offered us a partial refund. Though our room did have that issue, I’d still recommend this hotel as I think it was a one off as the staff seem to be responsive. Location is amazing!

The hotel was under construction, our toilet did not work, and there was construction dust on our room's surfaces. Usually, I would let a poor rating slide since construction happens. However, the front desk attendant was very defensive, dismissive and unapologetic. I know they have hard jobs, so I held my tongue :)

Location, location

Located on the water and easy walking distance to the little town. The first night, we walked to Crown and Bull. The food was really good. Live music and not exactly what we hoped for but good. The next rainy afternoon, we easily walked to Bon Appetit. White tablecloths, filet mignon,piano music. Very good. The breakfast at the hotel was more than sufficient for us so we only needed the other meal. For the hotel, everyone VERY nice! Room clean and redone with vaulted ceiling on 2nd floor. Bathroom redone x for tile around tub itself. Plenty good enough for us. The town itself had enough for a day or two. We didn’t drive from the time we parked until we left.

They were sawing to fix first floor rooms for hurricane damage, which is completely understandable but not past 8:30pm. When j asked to use the pool after 8 pm, the front desk man told me to go ahead, I then Informed him it requires a key and mine isn't working because it is after 8pm. So he put his hands up and said there is nothing he can do that he could loose his job. I said well they need to stop making that noise by 9pm or inam filing a complaint with the city.
