Family accommodation in Rogers Park

The first clue to a lack of quality was that the airport shuttle did not arrive as requested. A couple of phone calls to the staff did not resolve the issue but it appears the van ran out of gas and would not start. We took an Uber. The hotel did reimburse but it was very frustrating taking over an hour to go 2 miles from the airport, Nex was at the reception desk where an apparent computer malfunction had some guests getting keys to rooms already occupied or had not been cleaned. Kind of a long wait to get checked in. Carpet in the room was old. The rooms and common areas are outdated and tired looking. Weird odors in the hallway left a bad impression. Then getting the shuttle back to the airport seemed to be a surprise to the driver despite that we had reserved a time to depart with the desk. Driver complaining to us – the guests—that he was not told. Oh well. All in all, it was kind of a depressing place--but it was close to the airport for a long daytime layover so…we survived.

You know there was hardly any breakfast food because they were apparently understaffed, on Mother’s Day all you could have was toast!!! The housekeeping did not come AT ALL even though we were there for three nights!! I had to go down and ask for garbage bags and more towels and put our dirty ones out in the hallway. The hair dryer was completely missing and must have been pulled out of the wall, there were just holes where it should have been. The gym equipment was 1/2 out of order as was one of the dryers. The only staff member that was helpful and at least tried was Joolah. (Hopefully I spelled his name correctly)

Beautifully designed and executed property. Having access to a restaurant and a barista was very convenient. The beds, linens, and amenities were perfect. The staff was always very helpful.

The room was great, but please hire more staff. It took us 2 hrs to be served our food in the restaurant. One person was in charge of everything, which was no fault of their own. At breakfast the coffee ran out & it took way too long to bring more. Once again one server was in charge of cleaning their own tables & helping people.
