Great For The Price

This was fine for an airport hotel. The staff was friendly, the room was clean, and they offer pretty much the same amenities as any other major hotel chain, and at least for me, the price they charged was WAY less than all the other hotels in the area. Hotels in Anchorage are expensive, especially during the summer/early fall, and I paid less than half for my two night stay than any other hotel in the area wanted. There were some rough edges, like the exhaust fan in the bathroom was a bit loose and needed dusted, but does something like that small detail make it worth paying so much more.. 3x the price across the street at the Wyndham or Courtyard? No, I don't think so. This was fine, and honestly I'd probably stay there longer if I needed to. For reference, I just stayed at the LAX Hilton and this room here at the Puffin Inn was cleaner than a flagship Hilton property. I'd book this property again.

I had never stayed here before and was a little skeptical as their price was significantly less than other motels in the area. Since I was traveling without my family, I just needed the smallest and cheapest room. It was pretty small, but the mattress was fine, the room was clean and the plumbing worked fine. I would stay again.

Very old building. Needs updating. Furniture showed a lot of wear. Trim around doorways was severely damaged. Room smelled very musty. The bed and bedding appeared clean and mattress was comfortable. They need to put some money back in to the building.

We booked this room at the last minute because the other hotel I booked turned out to be a disaster. The room we got here was really small. It sleeps 2, but just barely. The bathroom was really small and cramped. The heater in the bathroom never turned off so the whole room tended to be too hot the 2 nights were were here. I didn't care for the bathroom layout - it was really small and cramped and there was not counter space around the sink for toiletries and such. The breakfast was pretty good with make your own waffles. If I had to go to Anchorage again, I wouldn't rule this out, but I would definitely see if there were other options.

Overall, not a bad stay. My friends in the area stated this is not a good location though, so just be mindful of locking your things up and people around the property. Staff was great and the room itself was nice. Plenty of pillows and comfortable bedding. Bathroom was outdated and water ran out of shower easily.

Shuttle driver, fantastic. Desk staff unhelpful at checkin. Did not get room I paid for. Room smelled, shower floor slick and dangerous. Room a/c , heater not working, our car bumper damaged in parking lot. No floor mat on slick floor in bathroom. I reserved handicap room. Really bad experience.

Your lobby was very inviting, but when I saw our room, I was appalled. Your sign at the hotel says Great rooms, Great prices. We paid $250.00 for a room that is comparable to a Motel 6.
