This is our third time at Finest and Fifth time overall at the Excellence collection. We did the club this time because we always enjoy the extra perks and the check in is so much more pleasant. The club has a designated beach area and it makes life much convenient as well. There are so many things we love about this resort : no wrist bands, no reservations needed for restaurants, the sweets bar is a favorite! I love the iced coffee baked goods and fresh fruit always available, the service and staff are just wonderful, I never feel like they are waiting to be tipped and they always seem to go out of their way. Clearly we like this place a lot but there are some areas they need to improve; -Seating by the pool area, it makes 0 sense to have such limited availability and also allow people to wake up at the crack of dawn people “reserve” & have the chair sit empty for hours on end - It’s completely unfair to guest and your staff to have ONE bartender at the swim up bar. A resort this size should have at least two. I felt terrible for the employees trying to keep up with everyone’s orders and wash the cups etc -the kids club: it’s for kids 3 and up my kids are 2.5 and 11 and it seemed like I had to beg for them to be included in the activities. No effort was made with either child to remind them of upcoming events or activities and that was disappointing - Finest club includes top shelf drinks but it can only be found in the club house one area of the hotel

Absolutely amazing! From the moment we arrived at Finest Playa Mujeres, everything felt like a dream. The service was beyond excellent—every staff member was friendly, attentive, and genuinely happy to help. The resort itself? Spotless! Every corner was clean and beautifully maintained. Our room? Incredible. It had an ocean view that looked straight out of a postcard, a private jacuzzi, and—get this—a pool on the rooftop just for us! It was extraordinary and made our stay feel so special and luxurious. And don’t even get me started on the food—wow! Every meal felt like a gourmet experience, with so many delicious options to choose from. Everything was perfect, whether relaxing by the pool or strolling on the beach. Can’t wait to come back!

Positive: Location:45 minutes fr the Airport. Cleanliness: The room was impeccably clean and well-maintained. Staff Service: The moment we arrived at the resort, a staff member greeted us right away, and it was refreshing to have a cold towel. The reception staff at the Excellence Club were welcoming and efficient. The staff and servers at all the restaurants we visited were prompt and courteous. Food and Beverage: The restaurants served high-quality food, with a special mention of the Dommo restaurant, which is an Excellence Club exclusive. We had breakfast and dinner there, the food and service were top notch, so don’t miss it if you plan to upgrade your stay. Shoutout to Carlos, Yahir, Mario, and Alma who were very nice, friendly, and attentive when we had dinner on a Monday. - Value for Money: It’s pricey, so plan. I didn’t think that the value of the swim-up suite we paid for was worth the amount (refer to the negative review below). Negative: The most disappointing thing about our stay was the lack of privacy in the swim-up suite. We booked the Excellence Junior Swim-up suite. We had expected a private swim-up, but unfortunately, all the swim-up pools were open and shared with everyone, regardless of the room type. Our room was directly in front of the bar, which was always busy. The wedding party group was directly in front of our pool access. Note to upcoming guests: First swim-up pool we’ve been to of this kind, open to all, no exclusivity, it’s a big NO for me.

The place is amazing. The facilities are great and the kids club is a must for families. The food options are endless and high quality. The activities are varied and for all ages. The two things that could have been better… 1. The service in the beach was dismissive at best. 2. The restaurants close early to get ready for the next shift. I would recommend to change the posted hours rather than turning down guests.

Best all inclusive property in the area! Absolutely stunning property, amazing and caring staff, and multiple large, clean pools if the beach isn’t for you. The kids club area was a fun break from regular swimming for the kids and the lifeguards made sure everyone was safe. I have never had such a fantastic vacation! Will absolutely be back again.

The property was ok. Javier the hospitality manager was excellent. The other managers at the front desk were a little deceiving and at a moment rude. We had to wait 2 and half hours the 1st day for a room transfer for the kids then again the next day for an hour for our luggage to be in the right room. Then multiple follow ups throughout the trip to correct this issue. For an all inclusive vacation we spent probably a full day in our stay to correct issues. Also, since I was an expedia VIP member I was supposed to a free wine bottle which I told Enrique who checked us in and spent 2-3 hours with him on the 1st day he said he would have it sent to the room then again next day called him/reminded him nothing he told he will have sent right away no one came. The next day at the front desk I went told him he said it should be in the room when I get back nothing again. So, all in all it was an ok experience. I do not think I needed to spend almost a full day throughout my trip to correct errors on behalf of the resort then I do not get my VIP treatment with the wine bottle. So, was really not happy.

I took my daughter on a graduation trip and we had so much fun! Plenty of relation and wonderful food. The beach was pristine and the pool was perfect! We loved the swim up bar as well. Our room was clean, comfy, had a wonderful balcony, very private. Totally recommend!

Disappointing Experience – Not Worth the Hype or Cost This was our first—and definitely last—visit to this resort. While the photos look beautiful, the actual guest experience was frustrating and disappointing. Most staff barely speak English, and service felt entirely tip-driven. Without tipping, we were ignored or treated poorly—unacceptable for an “all-inclusive” resort. On day one, we were rudely kicked out of the Excellence Club beach area while simply exploring. No courtesy, no explanation—just a cold escort. We requested snorkeling gear as advertised on the app. The front desk trainee claimed she’d never heard of it, then sent us to the beach kiosk. Despite asking her to confirm availability, we walked all the way there only to be told, rudely, that they don’t offer it “since COVID” and were pushed to buy a paid excursion instead. The pool at the aqua bar was dirty, and our room was extremely loud at night due to nearby parties—our kids couldn’t sleep. At the beach restaurant, my son left his shirt and Crocs while we swam. When we returned, everything had been cleared for a private event. Staff were unhelpful and dismissive, but we luckily found his things stuffed into a cabinet. Dinner was also a letdown. The food was of poor quality, and we all had stomach pain afterward. This resort felt more like a sales trap than a relaxing vacation. Poor service, bad food, false advertising, and no care for families. Not recommended.

After a couple of weeks after my return from my trip, I got some time to reflect. While there will be some highlights on your trip from individual staff, overall, it's okay. For the price point, I expected a bit more. Best part of the hotel is the kids club and evening shows. Is it worth the try, yes! But, you feel underwhelmed, ultimately.
