We rented a room with kitchenette. Fridge was decent and stove worked well. I didn’t like that we had to return towels to front desk to get new ones more convenient to just ask housekeeping on floor for more. Pool clean, nice, was out of order for 1 day of our 5 days stay. Overall I would stay there again

Property is very outdated. The room was clean but the hallways and grounds was very dirty ( cigarette butts everywhere, trash, half eaten food laying in the hallway for 2 days). The location was very convenient.

Poorly run and dirty

While location is everything, price should reflect a declining unkempt property. So poorly run. The staff are app.foreign from Jamaica and couldn't care less about having the lack of soap conditioner shampoo etc in the room.

When checking in, one of the staff members were being very rude to another customer. The staff member assisting me was very nice. We got to the room to find out there was no actual lights, only lamps. The bathroom sink clogged everytime we would brush our teeth. The shower water did not allow you to have cold water, and the “clean” towels had someone else’s hair all over them. My child walked across the floor barefoot one time and had BLACK feet. Lastly, in the corner we found someone else’s straw so obviously housekeeping needs some education. The bed was actually comfortable though.

Photos are deceiving

The photos and the ratings are very deceiving. The rooms are not clean. They are very small and areas need to be repaired. We continuously had to have our key reprogrammed to get into our room. The doors were rusted so you had to slam them to close. There are no doormats to keep from tracking in so much sand and there is nothing in the rooms to sweep the sand up. The best part about Bikini Beach Resort were the swings out by the tiki bar.

I booked my room in advance. When we got there at check-in time, I was told they could not issue room keys because their system was down and to come back later. After returning, we were finally issued room keys. Go up to the room and find it's occupied by someone else! Go back to the front desk and they said they had no idea who was in the room. After about an hour, they finally said they had no other rooms available! So I was forced to find another place to stay at 8:30pm on a Saturday night. Sugar Sands would not even give a cash refund to help find another location, despite their errors. One whole evening of our vacation was wasted. It was a terrible experience.

I rented a one queen room beach front… room was hardly larger than the queen bed . No room to hardly walk around the bed.. asked to be moved because it was so small and the view was hidden.. I could move for 33.99 more.. so I did.. check out is 11. You cannot get a late check out. Every hour you stay after check out is an additional $20. No ice machine but they will sell you bags of ice. Beach chairs at beach rent for $65.00 day… spend a little more or the same amount and stay somewhere that is nicer and provides all the amenities you have to pay extra for.

The room was much smaller than seemed in pics. We had issues with the door lock and the maintenance men were great but after 3 days they had to change the locks. Just know before you come this is an old buliding and the room is small.
