A TIRED HOTEL IN MANILA

Here is some feedback for my stay together with my colleagues. Well we enjoyed our stay again I think my 8th time. My colleagues and myself believe that the Dusit Thani is no longer up to the mark, the hotel is looking tired. My first time in the Dusit Club was 2006 and believe me it has not changed a bit since and now unfortunately is like the rest of the hotel especially the outside is looking really shabby and tired. I like to use the pool for example when I can and Jovan who is the lifeguard there is a real asset to the hotel, he is full of energy and nothing is too much trouble for him. So I did have a talk with him regarding TWO parasols which are totally ripped and looking very bad, I told him that they should be removed as they took away from the ambience of the area and made me feel that I was relaxing in a 2* hotel. Unfortunately he told me that despite informing his line manager he was not allowed to remove them. It would be better if they were not there at all. Also as explained to you ALL the Windows in the hotel appear to be filthy dirty, surely you can arrange a guy to come and clean these on a regular basis. Now I know the outside of the hotel is stone, but this is in poor condition and indeed I also pointed out to Jovan a large crack in the balcony which can be seen from the pool area. The outside of the hotel is tired and looking dirty,

We loved everything about this beautiful hotel. The staff were helpful and friendly. This hotel is close to the Makarti shopping precinct and has great rooftop lounge amenities on offer for a fee. The food is great there and you receive wonderful service from staff.

Ok this hotel is rated 5 star for a reason. I highly recommend it for its quality, the walkable shopping and dining areas, the staff who are amazing, the interior and cleanliness. I have upgraded to the club lounge access and I absolutely love its perks. The spa and gym and pool are amazing. I am currently here right now and am booked a total of 9 glorious days. So many things to do and the restaurants here are great. If you’re craving a midnight snack or meal they have a great room service option for that too. Whether you are here for business, family or solo self care time I guarantee you will enjoy your stay.

This is the second time I stayed in this hotel, the lobby still looks amazing, staffs and crews are courteous and very accommodating especially housekeeping and room service who responds to requests promptly. Checking in is easy. The location is great and near the malls which makes it convenient for shopping and dining. Their buffet breakfast is great! However, rooms are so dated, dust found in the closet and its drawers are hard to open. When I used the shower, brown water came out, so I let it run for a while before using it. The shower head is almost falling apart and it did fell apart while using it on my 3rd night of stay. It got replaced, luckily no one got hurt. The other bed not comfortable and can feel the spring. Instead of replacing the bed they just put a bed topper. Television also dated, I it keeps on shutting down even if it was just turned on. Rooms should be inspected before making it available to their guests. I hope these issues will be addressed.
