WARNING!! Do NOT stay here! To start, the shuttle from the airport took off just as I was running up. It took another 25 minutes for the next one. I found out it was because of a shift change. Next, the room was on the 11th floor but was extremely noisy. Traffic outside was none stop. Next, not a single working ice machine on any floor. After asking the front desk, I was told the only ice machine is a communal one in the buffet area (nasty). Next, an emergency alarm went off as I was falling asleep. After grabbing my purse and room keys, I hurried down 11 flights of stairs to the lobby, only to be told it was set off by mistake (it was meant for the building next door). When I got back to my room, I discovered that the bathroom floor was wet. I looked up and noticed the ceiling light was full of water and dripping on the floor! I notified the front desk. After waiting for 30 minutes for maintenence, I went the reception desk and asked for another room that was quieter and without a leaking ceiling. The good news was that the "new" room was a bit quieter (but, still too noisy for a good night's sleep). What a nightmare! I'd say you get what you pay for, but at $145+ per night, it was hardly cheap. Plus, only coffee in the morning. No continental breakfast. I'll definitely avoid Holiday Inn in the future!
