We called for the airport shuttle at 10:30 pm. They told us it would be there shortly. At 11:00 we called again. They told us it would be there soon. At 11:15 a shuttle came and said they could only fit 2 people in. Someone jumped in front of us, and they told me and my husband there wasn't room but there would be another one coming soon. At 11:30 we got on and they allowed at 7 people to stand on that one. (They would not let us do that) So we waited an hour for a shuttle and it was cold outside. I wish we would have just taken an uber. With the hotel being so close to the airport I don't understand how it could have possibly taken so long. We only saw one shuttle the whole time we waited. They told us there were two. When we got to the hotel there were empty shuttles just sitting outside. There should be some kind of priority if you called at a certain time. I'm sure there were people who were picked up before us but arrived after us, simply because they were at a different terminal. When we got to the hotel everyone basically ran inside the hotel, making it so there was a huge line at the hotel check in we had to wait in. We had already checked in online but still had to wait in that line. No one in front of us had checked in online so they all took forever. We waited in that line for over 30 minutes. Our check in took 2 minutes. No one apologized, the front desk staff was rude and condescending. It was an extremely frustrating experience.

Layover Hotel

Fairfield isn't anything fancy but it is clean and efficient. Shuttle service to and from the airport is a big plus. Breakfast had enough variety to please anyone and is an added value.

Staff was very friendly and welcoming. Shuttle service was convenient. Stored our large luggage after checkout and we were able to come back to hotel for luggage and shuttle to LAX for evening flight. Good breakfast- clean dining room.

Staff was very friendly, breakfast was good, and they had a wonderful courtyard and pool area with an outdoor fire-pit. However, it is an older hotel with small rooms that has been renovated and it shows, such as our door not fitting properly with lots of light and cold air coming in the bottom and side. Heat/AC and thermostat didn’t to seem to work properly as after you turned it on and it reached the set temperature, the whole system would turn off, and you physically had to restart the system when the room was getting too hot or cold again. Hotel charged an unreasonable $50/night for parking and us like others ended up parking our cars for free on the street. There are better hotels to stay at within 15 minute drive with a similar price.

The staff was very nice. The parking lot directly in front of the hotel was extremely small (it didnt help that our rental car was NOT a sedan like expected lol). Breakfast was awesome, the hotel room was ok, not the best ive seen but definitely not the worst. The layout of the hotel was a little weird and the elvator made sounds that made me nervous.
