The staff were very nice and friendly. We love the breakfast line. Lots of parking spots. The room was always clean. The location is convenient and perfect for avoiding traffic in downtown. Overall we were happy to stay there.

The room. Every time I book a room through Expedia we always get put in the tiniest room the hotel has. The floor was all slanted, absolutely no counter space in the bathroom, the heater unit would not work properly, i had to manually turn it off at the wall unit to get it to stop heating and it smelled like chlorine. I literally paid $10 less than the hotel rate and the hotel was basically empty. There is absolutely no reason to be shoved off in the back rooms just because i booked 3rd party. Outrite overpriced for what you get. Everything else about the hotel and staff is amazing, especially the complimentary breakfast.

Aside from the window/wall being paper thin and the owner of the car parked under the window continuously coming and going from his vehicle and starting and locking the vehicle both nights. The mattress was not much better than sleeping on the floor and let's not forget the lack of personality from the front desk staff, It was like dealing with robots. But other than that it was great.

We came back to the hotel on a Friday evening to find out the restaurant and bar are closed and they sent the staff home... very disapointing since we came back from downtown halifax specifically to have some food and a night cap at the bar. No notificarion from anyone at the hotel, no call, no text, no note in the elevator letting us know. Nothing. On a friday night. Very disappointing.

Good hotel stay overall. Rooms are clean and comfortable, pillow are typical for most hotels - flat and lumpy. Breakfast was good and changed between mornings which was nice. Parking is limited but fortunately we always found a spot, even around back if needed.
