We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Carlton George. The location was excellent and the check in and stay were flawless. We opted for the mini bar inclusion and the evening lounge pass and it was worth it. Beds were comfortable and robes and slippers provided. Would return

Great location in city centre. Had a balcony room which was great as the weather was good. Complimentary mini bar is good, enjoyed a glass of wine on the balcony. Bed was comfortable and had a good sleep. Room was dated and needs refurbished. Shower was difficult to get a comfortable temperature, was either scalding hot or freezing cold. Arran aromatics toiletries are a nice touch. The executive lounge is good, complimentary beer, wine, spirits, soft drinks and snacks If you’re not too bothered about decor, it’s a good hotel for the city centre

This hotel is in a great location. It is right next to Queen Street station which is great for the train. Right next to Buchanan Street where all action is. There restaurant has a lovely view. This is our second time staying here and will come back again.

Good hotel in a good location

My daughter and I stayed at the Carlton George for two nights. Overall, the hotel was great. It’s in a good location with good service. The only issue we had was parking. There was none and we had to park up the street which wasn’t too bad except for when we were dragging our suitcases. The breakfast was just okay…we found it pricey for what it offered. I would recommend for anyone not driving.

Pillow disappointment.

We only used the hotel as a base for a couple of nights so didn’t use the restaurant . We upgraded to a club room which was roomy and bed itself was comfortable enough but the pillows were very small and flat and didn’t even come up to the base of headboard and the pillows didn’t fit the pillow cases which were of a normal size. We did mention this to reception when checking out who said they would mention it to housekeeping . We have stayed here a couple of times before but not in a club room and didn’t have a problem with the pillows then so I was quite surprised that the pillows didn’t match up to the upgrade. Had we been staying longer I would have mentioned it after the Ist night.
