Omni Dallas Hotel

5.0 Good place to stay in Dallas

Nice place to stay, a well run hotel where everything works. The hotel did not look very old and was well built. We were looked after during our stay, this was much appreciated after being put out by hurricane Hervey. Very impressed with the local art work throughout the hotel.

Crowne Plaza Hotel Dallas Downtown

2.0 Old hotel, poor customer service.

The hotel was quite old and always felt dark. We had a family of four, and they acted as if they were doing us a favour by finding a room with 2 beds instead of 1 even though that's what we booked. We then had to ask 2 out of the 3 days for an extra towel as they only left us 3. The first day we had to ask twice before they were delivered, and the second day we couldn't wait any longer and had to share towels. Our stay was for a long weekend (Check in Friday night, check out Monday) and there was no one available from concierge to assist us over the entire weekend. When I asked for assistance at reception, the response was "concierge doesn't work over the weekend and I can't help you." Topping it off, the photos of the pool on their website must be from at least 20 years ago. Same layout, but conveniently missing the rusty gate/fence and run-down appearance of the pool area.
