Rooms are spacious , a tad outdated as is the resort really , however it’s clean , the pool is refreshing and the walk down to the beach is easy and it’s a beautiful spot . The reception staff were super lovely . Easy and quick to check in and the parking is close and easy to access .

For a one night stay it worked well but the ambiance was 1970’s holiday camp. Perfect if you want that of course. Service was good and staff very engaging. We didn’t go down to the beach as arrived late and were off whale watching early. Had a light dinner in the “restaurant”again adequate.

If your travelling north on the pacific highway getting to the resprt is somewhat tricky due to the roadworks which no longer allow a right turn to the resort as indicated by navigation . The first room I was given smelt musty after returning to reception I was given another room, in the meantime because of the delay in sorting out an acceptable room my meal in the restaurant was put on the dining table in my absence letting it go almost cold, the rice also had an inedible clustered lump of rice in it as if it had been scraped from the bottom of an old pot of rice although the lamb curry was actually delicious. In the bedroom I noticed hairs on the bottom sheet and which definitely weren’t mine and it generally looked unlaundered or poorly laundered. Staff seemed generally offhand somewhat curt apart from the guy maintaining the pool who had a frendly attitude. The beach although close by os definitely not swimmer friendly due to rips and drop offs.

First couple of nights next door had tv going all night so not much sleep. Tried to charge us for something that got charged to our room when we charged nothing to our room.

Staff were fantastic- every staff member we spoke to was so lovely and helpful - hotel itself was a little bit out of the way in Coffs, so had to drive everywhere which was mae harder by extensive road works (obviously not hotel’s fault - it just lengthened the travel), beach straight out the back but no life guards - lovely hotel just a little aged now - would stay again
