We enjoyed our stay very much at Lamphouse by Basecamp. Our room was small, but charming and clean! The views from every window were incredible!! The hot tub was enjoyable and the ease of walking to stores was unbeatable. The only bump in our stay was our code not always working on our door, but we got a physical key w/in minutes of contacting staff. Would highly recommend Lamphouse for its location, views, and comfortability. Even though we were right downtown, we were impressed that it was such a quiet city. We always felt safe and relaxed. We would stay here again for sure.

Great location in town, close proximity to the town centre. Hot tub was nice and nice view of the Three Sisters. One of the plugs didn’t work so had to plug the air conditioning into a different one. Bathroom was nice, parking good. Although we did have air conditioning was like a window unit so not as efficient as others. Would recommend staying there especially if you like the smaller feel of Canmore vs Banff.

Won’t be coming back

We didn’t understand how this place has this many excellent reviews…for almost $500 a night, we didn’t think it was worth the price. The good: location, rooms are big and bed is comfortable. The bad: 1. Non-existing front desk… there is a room for it but it was locked the entirety of our stay. They would only communicate via automated WhatsApp texts, which got very annoying. 2. Noise: We stayed on the first floor and we could hear our upstairs neighbours walking around - make sure if you stay in the lower lever, there are no rooms upstairs 3. Overall service: We saw other guest complaining that their tv didn’t work and again no one in the front desk to help. They (hotel management) would schedule a visit via text but that meant disturbing your own day just to accommodate them 4. House keeping: we were told house keeping service happens just once during your stay! For the price this is in my opinion unacceptable. We requested fresh sheets and told we would get them the next night- it didn’t happen For this price, I’d stay somewhere else next time… somewhere with actual guest services available.

The location of the hotel is amazing as it is within close walking distance of restaurants and stores. The room was satisfactory. Front desk hours are limited but you can request services through text. I received a coupon for 30% off at the cafe attached to the hotel but the cafe was not open during the time of my stay. Note that the only way to get ice is to ask someone at the front desk (only limited hours) and they will get some ice from the cafe. The room was clean and the beds were OK.

The property was renovated quite well from what it once orginally was. I felt there was some things left to do (painting). The location was perfect! We only stayed two nights, so didn't need any housekeeping, but did have to track down employee for coffee refill. All in all I would recommend it for a short stay. Views were spectacular. Check in was all online, btw. Great communication prior to checking in.

Mostly good. Mini fridge does not have adjustable temperature. There is no ice available at the hotel. The television has to be manually turned on as the remote did not turn it on. Uncertain whether apps like Netflix can be cast on the TV. Coffee is Nespresso espresso- sized coffee.
