Arrival at Grand Moon was smooth, with warm towels and no check-in line. However, one receptionist rudely dismissed a drink offer during check-in. After a 15-minute check-in, we were assigned a room but pressured into a 1.5-hour timeshare presentation. I clarified only one parent could attend due to our kids, but the salesperson failed to confirm, wasting 30 minutes when I returned to decline. The property is vast and well-maintained. Unfortunately, my wife and son fell ill during the trip, and we all got sick after returning, out for three days and still unwell a week later. The water smelled odd, despite using bottled water for everything. Food highlights: Habibi’s breakfast and dinner were good, though chicken skewers were chewy; Jade’s ambiance and food were excellent; Tavola’s pizza and pasta were solid; the pastry shop was great; La Casa by the bowling alley disappointed with slow service and order errors. Beware the $500 spa credit—it’s unusable, a scam. The water park, game room, and beach were hits with the kids.

The lay out is perfect. If one pool is busy you can walk around the coner to another one. This place is made to enjoy the pools.

The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Cecilia, our VIP assistant was excellent. The hotel was nice, safe and clean. One thing I hated was the sales staff calling every morning at 8:00, waking up the whole family, trying to sign me up for a tour of the property.

The hotel is exceptional. The restaurant options are excellent and the number and variety of activities for adults & children are fabulous. There are a number of pools and ample availability of sun-loungers and pool concierge. I would highly recommend this property!
