The stay at this resort was like staying in a piece of art. From the ceiling, the walls, the floor and the amenities everything was designed for a luxurious and peaceful experience. The customer service from every staff member was incredible. I highly recommend this resort for people looking for an unforgettable experience! I give the resort, the service and the food TEN STARS instead of five!

I went to the beach everyday which was very nice. The room was terrible, damp and moldy. The staff was pleasant but not very efficient. I spent lots of time in line ups trying to organize things with hotel staff.,

The beach was greatoin the adults only side but be careful walking into the ocean there are lots of rocks. The pools are great but you have to get a chair at the pool or beach by 7:30-8:00am or it’s impossible to find a chair. The rooms were big and clean but you can hear everything in the hallways and doors slamming.

The staff was outstanding. The rooms were perfect and spacious. Our swimout was beautiful and right across from the piol and bar. The resort itself was clean, modern and well maintained. The buffet was perfect at all hours. We spent our vacation drinking, eating and in the pool and sun so going to eat and graze whenevwr we wanted to was perfect.

The rooms at the Riviera are excellent and, in our opinion, a step above those at the Palace. We stayed in an ocean-view room that was absolutely stunning—modern, spacious, and offered a spectacular view. The quality of food and drinks was also impressive. We were very pleased with the culinary standards throughout our stay; the flavors were consistently great and the drink service was high-quality. Despite the beautiful room, we found the service level at the Riviera to be lacking compared to our previous stays at the Barcelo Maya Palace. We actually preferred the service at the Palace so much that we went there for breakfast almost every day, as the staff there felt much more attentive. Our biggest issue was the lack of communication during the booking and check-in process: • Reservations: No explanation was provided on how to book restaurants. If we hadn't been past guests of the Palace who already knew the system, we would have had a very difficult time getting dinner reservations. • Amenities: There were no instructions regarding spa access or how to apply the discounts offered in our booking.
