The room was in decent condition, but on two separate occasions, we had issues with the shower drain not draining, causing water to leak into the hotel room. They managed to fix it both times, but it was an unfortunate problem. The food was average. The specialty restaurants were disappointing, but the à la carte options were generally good, with Mike’s coffee shop being the best. The coffee was excellent, and the snacks were very nice. The bartenders were all very gracious, with Eduardo being absolutely top-notch.
The two biggest drawbacks were: everyone seemed to be trying to sell you something, to the point where I often avoided the lobby during the day to escape the persistent sales pitches. Even after waving them off, they would continue to press, which was a huge turn-off. I don’t go on vacation to be constantly sold things. Lastly, the service at the end of my stay was disappointing. My Uber was scheduled to arrive at 1:05, and check-out was at 12. I asked if we could have an extra hour to grab lunch before our travel and was told no, as there is no late checkout, despite explaining that my room was completely cleaned out. We were just hoping to catch some lunch before our five-hour flight back. This was probably the worst experience I had during my stay.
