Staff were friendly and the resort felt safe, but several advertised amenities were far more restricted than expected, which significantly impacted our stay as a family. Most restaurants require same-day reservations made at 10am, with many first available seatings after 9pm. Several dining options are adults-only or limited to certain guest tiers, and the buffet did not open until after 6:30pm. Pool seating and towels were often difficult to obtain, and the beach was not very clean. Rooms were clean but dated. Positives included helpful staff throughout the resort, a fun kids pool, excellent kids club staff, coffee shop, ice cream parlour, gym, bowling, and strong photographers (photos are expensive). Location is convenient at ~30 minutes from the airport. Overall, while the staff were kind and there are nice features, the dining and amenity access limitations are important to understand in advance—especially for families with young children.

Our family of four had an excellent stay at Hotel Ocean Coral & Turquesa in January 2026. The rooms were spacious and clean. The beds were comfortable. We really enjoyed the privilege upgrade. Sebastian offered outstanding service. The terrasse of the lounge was great for breakfast and lunch. The waiters of the lounge were professional, attentive and friendly. Many pools to choose from. Great personnel at the bars.

Our room was very clean and well stocked with towels, pillows and stocked beverages in the refrigerator. The staff was very helpful and friendly! The many specialty restaurants and buffet restaurant were all amazing. The nightly entertainment was great! We would definitely consider booking at Ocean Coral & Turquesa again. Maybe next year! 😎

The resort is spotless. We especially liked how large the lobby bar area was. Service was good and food was ok. Buffet was repetitive and you have to make reservations exactly at 10am to have the chance to make a booking.

As a person with a gluten intolerance it was very challenging to eat in the buffet. Our room air conditioner didn’t work well and our clothes felt wet. The shower did not drain well and the water was never hot. Very disappointed.

This resort is awesome! It was our first time here and overall we had a great experience. The food was good with lots of restaurant options, and every staff member we encountered was kind and helpful. My one complaint, and I heard quite a few others mention this as well.. was that the pool was very cold. On days when it’s extremely hot (30°C+), I could see how the temperature would probably be fine, but during the week we stayed it was only around 25–27°C and the water felt freezing. We overheard numerous people talking about it throughout our stay, so I don’t think we were the only ones who felt this way. It would be great if the pool temperature could be adjusted based on the weather. But honestly that wasn’t even a huge deal for us, we still really enjoyed our time and will likely be back!

We enjoyed our stay despite the sun hiding behind the clouds a lot during the week we booked! Our room was always made up nicely by the staff and mini bar stocked. We really enjoyed all the selection of food at the Casa del Mar buffet and chose to eat the majority of our meals there. Mike’s coffee shop was a real treat and staff were pleasant. We loved having cookies in addition to other pastries ! The property was clean and we could see staff tending to the maintenance of the resort. We loved seeing the crocodiles behind the fenced in swamp area too ! Ocean front was quite littered which was disappointing to see and we heard from people swimming that there were sharp rocks and one swimmer brought in a broken bottle to shore. We did not swim in ocean due to these conditions. We missed having an infinity pool with a nice view as there have been at other resorts on the strip. The biggest let down was the fact that guests are placing towels on lounger chairs earlier than when towel service is even open and not occupying their chairs for hours afterwards, but holding them so others who wish to enjoy a lounger cannot if you did not awake prior to 7 am to hold a chair! Could there be a system devised to try to improve this ? A minor complaint I had with the online booking was that I had written a special instruction to NOT have a main floor room , and we were given a main floor room. Overall , we had a nice stay.

The room was in decent condition, but on two separate occasions, we had issues with the shower drain not draining, causing water to leak into the hotel room. They managed to fix it both times, but it was an unfortunate problem. The food was average. The specialty restaurants were disappointing, but the à la carte options were generally good, with Mike’s coffee shop being the best. The coffee was excellent, and the snacks were very nice. The bartenders were all very gracious, with Eduardo being absolutely top-notch. The two biggest drawbacks were: everyone seemed to be trying to sell you something, to the point where I often avoided the lobby during the day to escape the persistent sales pitches. Even after waving them off, they would continue to press, which was a huge turn-off. I don’t go on vacation to be constantly sold things. Lastly, the service at the end of my stay was disappointing. My Uber was scheduled to arrive at 1:05, and check-out was at 12. I asked if we could have an extra hour to grab lunch before our travel and was told no, as there is no late checkout, despite explaining that my room was completely cleaned out. We were just hoping to catch some lunch before our five-hour flight back. This was probably the worst experience I had during my stay.

We have stayed for 7 nights, property is beautiful but customer service is not good :( as well as if you are Expedia VIP you don't get much treated like one. The most disappointing was the dining reservations , the app doesn't work and its impossible to book a dinner at a restaurant. Tried to talk to front desk they said the app only way to go and then talk to people on resort and some even got the whole week booked up front :( we also went and look at those restaurants and almost every one that required reservations was half empty but they wont give us a chance to sit down for a dinner :( we had to eat at buffet only and its not always good tasting food there !

Rooms were fabulous, the most spacious, quiet and comfortable we’ve had at any all inclusive resort in Mexico. They were wonderfully cleaned and well stocked with ice cold drinks and plenty of bottled water. There is no conditioner provided (just conditioning shampoo which did not detangle at all), which was hard for long hair. Unfortunately, the rest of the resort was disappointing, when compared with approximately 15 other Mexican resorts we’ve stayed at over the past 30 years. Many common areas, including the reception desk, appear run down and outdated, with missing light bulbs, broken tiles, etc. The resort is too small to have many large open areas and an abundance of paths to wander, but too large to feel boutique and personal. Staff in all areas were not rude but not overly friendly. Food was mediocre and restaurant lines were often long, even for the buffet. Specialty restaurants are extremely difficult to reserve. We only tried the Italian and it wasn’t great or worth recommending. All drinks were terrible. We tried every option on the menu multiple times and didn’t find a single one at any bar on any day that we enjoyed. Pools were clean but the water was very cold. Bowling alley was fun. Gym was also good. We didn’t use the spa. Area is safe for running off the resort, which we did every day. Beach is quite narrow and water was very churned up so we didn’t use it except to stargaze at night.
