Overall I was happy. This was by far the best service I've received at an AI. The servers, Hugo and Fernanda (I think), by the lazy river were amazing, the restaurant service was above and beyond and the housekeeping was perfect. The swim up room was fantastic. Guest services was great. The gardens were a pleasure to walk through and view. The French restaurant was excellent however the other restaurants were slightly above average maybe even a little below on some meals but the service made up for the food. My recommendations would be to improve the food prep quality and have the taco truck open at noon instead of 5pm. They were also doing some construction on a bridge over the lazy river and they may want to put some netting in the water verses having wood chips floating everywhere.

Very comfortable. Choice of 7 restaurants for different meals. No reservations allowed for mealtime. My longest wait was 5 minutes. Nice wide, clean beaches with palapas. Some seaweed, but cleaned twice a day.

if you have any doubts about where to stay, look no further. i had a wonderful time at the Excellence Riviera. Their app made things extremely easy and convenient for us. the staff is just amazingly nice and respectful. no one got sick, which was our worry. the food was alright, definitely not the best but we didn’t starve. drinks were tasty and the bartenders were always kind when we asked for extra shots in the drinks. just book here :)

I booked the private shared vehicle on Expedia and paid 120$ ( transformation from airport to resort - back and forth) and somehow when I reached cancun, maxico, it was not showing under itinerary on Expedia , like suddenly disappeared and I had to paid extra 200$ for transportation as well.

This is our second time staying at an Excellence resort. Staff and service were friendly, helpful and responsive. Food was great, especially the mushroom risotto at Flavor Market. Our housekeeper was so kind and efficient and left us cute little animals made from towels. The only downside was the AC not working in the room for two nights and the plunge pool auto draining and not filling up for two days. Staff was able to resolve the AC issue for one night but the plunge pool issue was not resolved.
