This is a hidden gem with a river view and close to amazing temples, boat tours, the ferries and the Grand Palace. We had an amazing stay here and highly recommend it. The location is perfect - close to everything yet on a quiet street. Breakfast is delicious and comes with a riverside table. The staff here are all incredibly kind and friendly. The lady who manages the hotel made everything so special for us - from the Thai lessons to arranging us a driver for a day out and a ride back to the airport. Kop Kuhn Ca Kuhn Pan! The hotel is also very close to the flower market and the subway. Both the subway and the river bus are easy and super safe to use. And the cost here is very reasonable too. My one caution - if you book a Grab ride here from the airport make sure they have the right address. When we did this Grab somehow had the wrong address. Totally not the hotel's fault - much better to let the hotel arrange your taxi! Lots of food options nearby including good street food. This is the only place I would want to stay in Bangkok!

I stayed here three nights for visit to Bangkok then departed for pattaya. The best part of this hotel is the staff. Ms Pan… was fantastic. The breakfast was good all three days. The hotel is near the water .. no views of wat arun. I really wanted a night time view or even day time view of wat arun or the river. The hotel itself is very clean but older. I think the price is good value $105 a night for king sized bed and breakfast . But no good view of river or wat arun. I left Bangkok and stayed at lebua which was old and overpriced and finally found a great hotel called the standard in Bangkok which was my favorite!

Aurum River Place Hidden Gem

The staff went above and beyond to make our stay with them seamless for exploring Bangkoks many activities, food, and Wats. Even our driver to and from the airport was set up easily with the staff even though we had to leave at 3am for the coast our last day. Absolutely will come back. We love you Pan!

This property is a hidden gem. So many major attractions so close nearby. The breakfast is such a nice touch and you eat it looking at Wat Arun. The hotel staff are incredible, it’s like a home away from home

The property was in a great location and in good condition. AC worked great and bed and bathroom clean. The owner was very kind and helpful! Their breakfast is also very good and has a great view of the river. Would definitely stay here again.

The property is safe and convenient however the rooms are very small, confining, old, no balconies and have not been updated. The staff was extremely helpful and kind however requires you to hand them your room key every time you walk out the door.

This a very good small hotel near all the major tourist attractions in Bangkok. Wat Pho - which is arguably the best temple in Bangkok- is a 3 minute walk away and it’s close to a subway station and a river pier. The staff are friendly and the breakfast is eaten on a terrace next to the river with great views

This is a great family-run hotel overlooking the river opposite Wat Arun (Temple of Dawn) within walking or tuk-tuk distance of Wat Pho and the Grand Palace. Also close to underground and river boat services. Very hospitable, friendly service. Clean, well maintained rooms and excellent breakfast in the hotel’s own open air cafe on the river bank. Brilliant value for money.

Pan took excellent care of us with her attentive service and cheerful demeanor. Even though the cook wasn’t there for a day, she made sure breakfast service continued with efficiency. We would come back just for her amazing service. Additionally, the location is amazing with quick access to all of the major temples in Bangkok. Overall, we highly recommend this hotel for anybody staying in Bangkok.

Good little place on the river. Very kind staff and eager to be of help. Was a communication break down regarding car/taxi arrangements that contributed to a very stressful trip to airport for our international flight. Great collection of very nice restaurants, coffee shops and bars near by. Property could use some updating but all in all a comfortable, welcoming and safe location close to a lot of highlights in Bangkok. I’d recommend and return.

Aurum The River Place is a wonderful hotel. Close to the Royal Palace and water taxis. Pan is a super incredible hostess. She makes your stay comfortable and convenient. My only request would be to have more breakfast options for vegan/vegetarians.

Property is in a great location right near the river and walkable to the grand palace and reclining Buddha. Lots of good food options nearby as well. The hotel staff were fantastic our whole stay and were very nice and friendly. Would recommend for people to stay here.
