The hotel was nice, the room was very comfortable. It was a little noisy, not very soundproof from the ice machine etc. But i would definitely stay again. The location is great, lots of walkable dining options and coffee spots. Easy access to public transit.

We wanted to share some feedback based on our recent stay, as it may be helpful for improving the guest experience. While the junior staff were polite, they appeared to still be in training, and overall customer service felt average. The biggest issue was the lack of clear communication around payment terms. At check-in, we were required to pay for the full stay upfront along with an incidental fee — something that wasn’t communicated in advance and came as an unexpected surprise. Even after my partner handled the payment, I received a follow-up call to the room immediately after, which added to the confusion. We also had team members staying at the hotel, and they too had to pay in full upfront, which impacted the experience from both a guest and hosting perspective. There were also a number of small but important things that felt off — for example, the front desk team didn’t seem to know who we were, what rate we had, or that we didn’t have a car (yet we were still asked about parking multiple times). When we extended our stay by a day, we were told we had to fully check out and pay again in full, with an additional incidental fee. I’ve never encountered this process at any other hotel and am not sure if it’s standard in Vancouver, but it felt unusually rigid and inconvenient. There also seemed to be no integration between Expedia bookings and the hotel’s system, which further contributed to a disjointed experience. We’ve stayed at many hotels where payment is processed

We had a wonderful time at Hotel Blu! The location is great—close to many restaurants and bars, walking distance to Gastown and Yaletown. The beds were really comfortable. The pool and hot tub was nice after an active day. We also appreciated the amenities like the nespresso machine and the microwave.
