The hotel was ok, but certain areas were very dirty. Also, the nightstand has some kind of goop on it. Thank God I travel w Clorox wipes. The pool was very dirty, in need of skimming and water was greenish. Shocked to see people in it my 2nd day there! Would not go back.

Don’t stay here

The owners of this hotel do not care about their customers or their premises. They want to rip you off and don’t care if you ever come back. I can’t believe that this hotel has LaQuinta on its name. LaQuinta should step in and remove the owner/management & take it over. It is cheaper than some in the area but don’t rush it if you’re counting on a breakfast that you can eat and a pool you can use. It’s horrible, I can’t believe that they go to work each day looking to rip people off like this. I would be so anxious knowing that people would complain every day about their accommodations but obviously they’re in the business to rip people off once knowing that they’ll never return and a new flight of people will be arriving to Florida tomorrow. Spend the extra money and stay somewhere that the owners actually care and want you to come back. They intentionally make the breakfast horrible so that people won’t eat more food. They’d prefer to see the juice, coffee, waffles, syrup and sausage thrown out so that you only take one helping than actually making it decent enough to eat. They let some weird alarm go at the front desk all morning during breakfast so that you get up and leave instead of sitting there trying to enjoy your coffee that is full of cofffee rinds. But, you can’t go to the pool with your coffee. It is closed and filthy. And your room smells so bad yiu can’t go up there. Don’t stay here!

Drain in the sink and the room did not drain well. The remote for the TV did not work correctly. Volume kept going up and down on its own. The hotel lobby was dirty and I’m not sure that the sheets on my bed were clean.

Rollaway bed provided was stained and dirty. We left the hotel without using the room because of the conditions. We asked for a refund but were denied. Not our expectation with Expedia. Even charged us extra for the filthy rollaway. Not a good experience at all.

Needs Upgrades

We were in the area for a soccer tournament and stayed two nights. This hotel is conveniently located 6 minutes away from the Tournament Sportsplex of Tampa. We chose this hotel for its proximity to the complex and because we have stayed at others La Quinta Hotels, and always had great experiences. There were several positive things that I would like to highlight. The beds and pillows were comfortable, bed sheets and towels smelled and looked clean. There were plenty of toiletries and towels. The personnel were friendly and helpful. There is plenty of free parking. The location is easily accessible. However, this hotel was outdated and in desperate need for upgrades. The hallways are narrow; it was very uncomfortable to maneuver the bags cart to and from the room. The bathtub floor was patched in the middle, and the water deposited in the center after showers. Definitely needs a replacement. Furniture had visible wear and tear. There were just few plugs for electronics. Breakfast choices were limited with very few healthy options.

I would say this property is tired. While the staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and the room was clean, the hall carpet was dirty, the pool was less than appetizing, and the bathroom could use some updating. For what we needed, it was fine. And like I said, the staff was great. We had easy access to Amelia Arena for the Women’s Final Four.

I made the reservations for my husband & son several weeks ahead of their trip, & I was charged in full by Expedia at that time. When my husband & son checked out, they were charged for the room AGAIN , plus another $100 charge was put onto my card before being taken off again that same morning, but the double room charge was left on. When i called the front desk about the double charge, I was told it was a "deposit" and that it would "likely be taken off my card in 3-5 business days"! WHY was I charged a deposit when the room had already been paid for weeks before, what was up with the additional $100 put on & then taken off, and why do I have to wait to get money back that never should have been charged to begin with? Other than the whole money debacle, my husband said the room was clean & the beds, tho made of kind of a weird memory foam, were reasonably comfortable. The outside area and lobby were clean and the desk was staffed at all times. Just be sure you have extra money in your checking account or you may end up with some nasty overdraft fees as money is moved around your card like a pinball machine.

Horrible Cleanliness

Stayed for 3 nights and 4 days…. Overall was not a good experience, cleanliness wise…. right when we walked into the room we noticed the carpet was stained, and there was a couple roaches around the bed along with on the dresser. Underneath the bed was not vacuumed which had pieces of food under there and the towel rack in front of the mirror was falling off. Would have been a great stay due to it being convenient area but due to cleanliness it wasn’t a great experience.
