Great location but desperately needs a refresh

The lobby and restaurant have clearly been renovated but the room I stayed on the tenth floor was in desperate need of an update. There also appeared to have been some water damage on the window and some of the furniture that was not addressed. Overall, however, the room was clean and it's a great location within walking distance of most major points of interest.

Terrible experience at what was a pleasant hotel

From the moment of arrival constant banging and drilling up into 10.pm. Complained to the reception- nothing done. Complained next morning ditto complained at night when I found room not cleaned to the manager who couldn’t manage an automatic laundromat. Finally a lovely gentlemen behind desk bought me a beer and said everything would be fixed.out with the old manager and in with the new I would say.

The location was great. The hotel room itself was tired and damaged as were my colleagues rooms. There were building works going on which were noisy and we weren't warned about and we were charged for breakfasts on the day we checked in, which was after lunch. Would not stay there again unless we knew the rooms had been renovated.
