Aside from the screen door being broken at the bottom (understandable in a dog friendly hotel) the room was exceptional - very clean and very comfortable. Balcony has a great view of the water (off in the distance) as well as a great large clean lawn for dogs to get some runs in.

The property was nice and clean. The room was freshly renovated, which was also nice for sure. The bed was worn, but comfy. Nearly no water pressure in the shower. We had a few challenges... 1. Check in was very slow. Only a single person working at peak check in time at 4pm. The person behind the counter has continuously trying to call someone on speaker phone. The phone was ringing for 15+ minutes. Very strange. 2. "Breakfast" at this property is a joke. The attendant had nearly a full room of people waiting, and ahe was standing in the servery area like a lost puppy. 10+ people were looking for eggs and bacon, and none came out. When the attendant was asked if more was coming, she simply gave the people asking a blank look. We ended up walking away hungry, frustrated and disappointed. We ended up going to McDs for breakfast. Don't go to this property and expect breakfast. Riviere du Loup doesn't seem to have a breakfast restaurant, other than McD's, which is terrible for a travel town.

I was at this property about 25 years ago. It has totally changed sunce then. The rooms as well as the whole building has been updated with all the modern amenities. The breakfast is worth staying for. Scrambled eggs, sausage, toast etc. My only mistake was in booking the room as there is no elevator, our room was on the second floor. A little hard for my handucapped wife but we made it work. Definitely will stay again.

My only "negative" review is that it has no elevator. If you get the room at the ground floor, its very convenient. But if you get a room on the second floor, there are about 20 steps of stairs. It can be hard if you're an elderly or traveling with a baby

We were 5 adults traveling to New Brunswick and stayed 1 night in the 2 bedroom cottage. The cottage was very clean, the kitchen was equipped with dishes/pots etc. The breakfast was better than we expected with scrambled eggs/sausages etc.
