We received no benefits from this hotel, we asked about the two free drinks and were told we could get them during Happy hour, which wasn’t true. The room next to is had arguing/ cursing teens. We called the frint desk - were told a manager would come . Never happened. After an hour we went to the manager and she had us change rooms which was irritating and time consuming .

Lovely swimming pool, friendly staff, generally nice atmosphere. But limited meal options, particularly for children at breakfast, and 3 nights of our stay were frustrating due to being "upgraded" to a room that we didn't book, which was much worse than what we had booked. The hotel eventually corrected this error, but it shouldn't have happened - we booked 9-10+ months early to avoid this sort of thing. Also many of the housekeeping staff couldn't speak English and didn't seem to clean the floor properly, as you could run a tissue over it and it would come back dirty. We still had a good time, but there's room for improvement.

Great property! Restaurant and bar was convenient and nice. Pool hours were perfect. They do a great job closing the pool area as to not distrupt bedtime hours. The kitchen in the rooms was great and the laundry rooms on each floor was a great surprise. Such a great trip thanks to Melia!

Overall, I’ve been very unhappy with my stay here. Initially, the service at check-in was excellent- Francisco was kind and very hospitable when arrived really late at night. The restaurant at the resort (while it provides great service) because it is a separate entity from the hotel, it caused some confusion with our free breakfast passes that I purchased with our room. I essentially was unable to use a pass I prepaid for! And essentially paid twice for my daughter to eat! Furthermore, the lady in the at the front desk in the morning was extremely rude and dismissive to these concerns. How are you in the hospitality business and not providing hospitality?!!! The Melia front desk lady working this morning - 5/10/25 - needs a serious attitude adjustment and customer service training! Thank you to the Wilson restaurant staff and manager who at least validated my concerns and attempted to address the issue. HOWEVER- I was told a customer experience manager was going to contact me directly and no one ever did. Let’s talk about the rooms themselves- they are badly outdated with furniture that looks like it’s almost 30 years old. Old hair was found in several areas of our room - disgusting! The towel was slow to flush completely- had to hold it down twice to get it to flush. Multiple wall outlets did NOT work. Housekeeping didn’t even provide any hand towels for any of us when they cleaned our room- who does that?

Most of the staff that we interacted with was very nice, yet Maryjo was very very rude to us for no reason. I booked a two bed balcony room yet was put into a single bed no balcony. It was no big deal until my AC stopped working my last night. Jason helped me get a better room with a working AC and the balcony I originally signed up for. We had been told about free breakfast yet Maryjo wanted to say we did not have it? Overall was a very pleasant experience but only because I am a very laid back person.

Enjoyed our ten night stay

My husband and I stayed at the Melia for ten nights. We were there for a medical procedure. The room was large and clean, we were able to make meals and enjoy fresh air on the balcony. The restaurant offered a delicious gluten free pizza which I enjoyed. My husband was able to begin his recovery at this hotel very comfortably and we enjoyed our stay despite the circumstances of our visit. We would stay here again and recommend this hotel to others.

Disappointing experience

The checking experience was not a pleasant one; the shower was broken however the engineering team quickly fix that on the temporary basis; the room phone was not working which was a safety concern for me and the service was mediocre

Spur of the moment choice for the night. Large complex with very large and quiet room. Safe and attractive area. Our only complaint was a noisy AC unit. Pool area was beautiful but we did not swim. They also had a dog play area. Restaurant on premises but we chose to dine elsewhere.
