Room on a high floor facing the Bay was excellent. Location adjacent to the Emeryville AMTRAK station was ideal for our travel plans. This hotel is understaffed and the basic accessibility thru the doors is terrible. The sensors on the doors were not working and it was difficult to operate with luggage. An elderly disabled person could not get assistance with her luggage or getting to her room. Luckily a kind hearted fellow guest and former Boy Scout (are you ever a former Boy Scout) went out to the parking lot, got her luggage and assisted her up to her room.

Great room and staff. Breakfast manger was working hard to keep up with the crowd. Only issue was the washer on 5th worked but shut down right after our clothes were soaked. We had tot ale them out wet and go to the ninth floor to finish the load.
