Holidays in Northbridge

Bring your wanderlust as well as that beaten-up suitcase. It's time to explore what Northbridge is made of! A Perth neighbourhood, it's an excellent place to experience a different side of the capital of Western Australia. Perth has a population of around 1,900,000 people. Try to hang out with a few of them! Making your way to Northbridge from Perth Airport is easy. Just find a taxi and venture 10 kilometres west. From there, you'll be located 0.9 kilometres from the city centre.

A great deal of this city's top attractions are dotted near Northbridge, and Kings Park and Botanic Garden and Swan Bells Belltower are two of the most impressive. After taking a look at those, you'll want to continue on to the SCITECH Discovery Centre and the University of Western Australia. For a better perspective of this amazing city as a whole, spend some time in the nearby neighbourhoods of St George's Terrace and Perth.

If you want to go home feeling like you've experienced it all, you'll need to visit the Perth Mint, Kings Park War Memorial and Hyde Park. These treasures are all located in the city centre.

The Swan Brewery, the Ascot Racecourse and the Belmont Racecourse are great excuses to kick back and relax after a long day.

Learn new things about the region at the Perth Institute of Contemporary Arts, the Winthrop Hall, the Holmes à Court Gallery and the Mowanjum Art and Culture Centre. These cultural attractions are not to be missed!

Ask about any upcoming events before heading on over to see the displays and exhibits at the Fire Safety Education Centre and Museum, the Western Australian Museum, the World Australia Cricket Association Museum and the Francis Burt Law Education Centre and Museum.

What nicer way to top off a day's activities than with dinner, drinks and a good show? Check the programme listings at the Old Mill Theatre, the Playhouse Theatre, Perth Concert Hall and the His Majesty's Theatre.

Kids can have the best time in the most surprising places. Go on an adventure with them to the State Library of Western Australia and the Perth City Library.

The Harold Boas Gardens, Heirisson Island, Fraser Avenue Lookout and Swan River Foreshore Trail are top spots for nature enthusiasts to spend some time outdoors.

If the stress of city life is wearing you out, head to one of the nearby local parks. Supreme Court Gardens, Queens Gardens, Langley Park and John Oldham Park are great spots to kick off your shoes and relax under a tree.

An excellent way to relive your holiday is by returning home with a couple of souvenirs. See what you can get at Murray Street Mall, Hay Street Mall, London Court and Trinity Arcade.

Perth Town Hall, the Barracks Arch, Old Mill and Perth Parliament House have many tales to tell. History nerd or not, you're sure to find out something at these age-old sites.

Local sacred places, such as the Perth Mosque, St. Mary's Cathedral, St. George's Cathedral and Wesley Uniting Church, give you the opportunity to ponder in a serene setting.

No time here is complete without a visit to Domain Stadium, home to the West Coast Eagles and Fremantle Dockers. If a match is on while you're in town, slip on your team's colours and prepare to cheer as loud as you can.
