I booked this hotel on Dec. 17, 2024, based on an ad showing a room with a clear horseshoe falls view—exactly what we wanted for our handicapped son. But when we arrived, the falls were barely visible from our room—not even a quarter of what was shown.
I called the front desk to raise the issue and was put on hold for a long time. When I went down, there was no line as claimed. The staff said we already had the “best view” and that they were fully booked, so no room change was possible. Very disappointing after booking months in advance based on their photos. We felt that our concern was taken for granted the way the front desk dealt with us. We paid for a horseshoe view, what we got was a marriot hotel building view.
Also, the room was stocked for just 1 person—only 3 towels and 1 set of toiletries for our group of 5. While more towels were eventually brought, we had to buy our own toiletries.
Some staff were friendly and the location was convenient, but overall, the experience didn’t meet our expectations.
